SEV1 (Patrick Tabb) is a live techno artist crafting immersive, improvised sets that merge the raw precision of modular synthesis with the chaos of the natural world. Armed with a modular system for drums, percussion and melodic structures, as well as samplers for textural elements - SEV1 performs entirely live— each performance is a one-time ritual: A conversation between him and the machines. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia he grew up immersed in the surrounding deep woods and took up drumming at an early age, which inspires the percussion heavy sound of his sets. Exploring the tension between synthetic order and chaotic life, SEV1 performances evolve like living systems—disintegrating, rebuilding, and pulsing with hypnotic energy. From gritty warehouse grooves to decayed ambience and fractured field recordings, he shapes audio environments designed to move both body and mind. Whether in dark clubs, or experimental spaces, SEV1 brings a ritualistic edge to the dancefloor—blurring the boundaries between technology, ecology, and human expression. by @sev1live

After a year long hiatus, SYNTHBIOSIS returns with its signature lineup of local live electronics punctuated with a DJ set. This time around we have a new home at Bossa Nova Civic Club. @synthbiosis.nyc founder SEV1 is a live techno artist from NYC. He uses samplers and modular synths to improvise percussive, deep and hypnotic sets. @janus.rose is a NYC-based producer, dj and hardware electronic artist. A veteran of New York’s electronic music underground, her practice emphasizes modular synthesis, live hardware performance, and leftfield dj sets featuring a club-forward, sophisticated sound palette. Along with Maude Vôs, she is the co-director of Delusional Records, a queer femme-fronted label based in Los Angeles and NYC, and the host of SOFT_RESET, a local party exploring the soft edges of experimental bass and club music. @c0nstructible is a Brooklyn-based producer and DJ. Inspired by David Mancuso’s loft parties from New York’s experimental dance scene of the seventies, they aim to curate the noises of early-morning aural hypnotism. Their sets often range from minimal grooves and ambient organic textures to air-thickening psychedelia. As a producer, their tracks mirror their work as a mathematician, exercising the concepts of geometry and topology to inform their voice. Their releases act as cogitations in sculpting sonic spaces through geometric principles: manipulating the actions, invariance, and transformations of sound. Artwork by Janus Rose by @sev1live

Welcome back to Cove, Our monthly queer little techno gathering at the legendary @happyfunhideaway. As per usual we have a charity we are drinking for. Some Info: The NYSYLC was the first undocumented youth-led organization in New York. We work to empower immigrant youth through leadership development, grassroots organizing, educational advancement, and self-expression. Our goal is to give undocumented youth the tools and space to organize and create change in our communities. https://www.nysylc.org/what-we-do The party is free and all of our revenue from drink sales will be going directly to the NYSYLC. This month we have 3!! debuts from some wonderful local talent as well as our first live set! Introducing: @sev1live SEV1 (Patrick Tabb) is a live techno artist from NYC. He uses samplers and modular synths to improvise percussive, deep and hypnotic sets. He began drums and percussion at age 10 and working in a printing plant and metal factory in his teens and 20s started an early obsession with percussive repetition and machine music. This experience has given him a powerful stage presence and mastery of groove which brings kinetic energy in a natural and organic way. From deep and percussive hypnotism to textured field recordings, he shapes audio environments designed to move both body and mind. @djdannylynch New York native Danny Lynch has spent over a decade haunting the underground, living and dying many musical lives along the way. From packed bars to disco throwdowns to major North American stages, he's done it all, and his techno sets are richer for it. His 2025 EP Future Self in the Past (as uniVerse w/ John Barera) proves he can get weird in the best way, and new material is already incoming. Brace accordingly. @a_p_s APS has been dancing on local dance floors since 2015 and began DJing and producing in 2020. In his sets and products he seeks to find an underlying rhythm that holds these opposites together, as that difference and repetition works to create an encounter with one’s body and desire that breaks apart the coherence of the ego.
