This year marks five years of 7&Sun — not five years of dabbling as a side thing, but five years of truly trying to build a business and a space that is uniquely mine. Along the way, I’ve learned that the serious and the frivolous can actually live in the same space; it doesn’t have to be one or the other.

So I went back to where it began — when it was just “something I’m doing.” In 2018, Charmed to Meet You was a playful brass-chain necklace strung with antique beaded charms I’d collected over the years. It sold quickly, traveled far (one went to Australia), and reminds me today that joy has always — and will always — be part of the story.

And so, I’m bringing that spirit forward. Meet A Really Tall Tale — a crustacean-like collar of beads from as far back as the 1920s and as recent as the ’70s, all on the same old brass chain as the original, only amplified (and with some pearls and gems thrown in for good measure). Photographed next to one of our new favorite knotted gemstone pieces in golden selenite and a really special specimen of hydrogrossular garnet.
