“Made in Chicago” has officially been live for one week and I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the kind words.This project was a such a special one. When I watch the video, I’m immediately reminded how lucky I am to have made these memories alongside some of my best friends in the world. Let alone have these moments cemented in time to relive over-and-over again.As its namesake suggests, Sapient would be nothing without the amazing people who believe in it. And this video is a perfect representation of just that. Today marks 5 years since the start of Sapient.The first slide is a clip that my dad shot while I was sanding the very first Sapient board in my parents basement.There exists no metric, nor any fabricated end goal that could ever provide more fulfillment than the gratification embedded in the process itself. Trial and error run alongside a painfully enjoyable learning curve, and it appears this curve may never plateau so long as you keep trying. And if that’s truly the case, then here’s to as many more years as one can earn.Although it started with one, Sapient has evolved into something far more meaningful thanks to the skilled and humble hands of those who believe in it. This brand would be nothing but a broken dream without those who make it breathe. The connections forged through its name will forever be its greatest achievement.A sincere thank you to everyone who has taken part in Sapient’s emergence. I am struggling to find adequate wording to express my gratitude.I look forward to what the future may hold, but for now, we continue on as we have since the begining.
