Hey peeps. 🔥

Here's another quick tip which you can apply in the mixing stage.

This time it's about proper gain staging even before you start your mix. There are basically three options you can choose from.
Find out which options you have in the reel.

Let me know in the comments if you are aware of all of them?

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers Paddy from Seventh-Sun-Studio.com🔥

Hey peeps. 🔥

Here's another important quick tip which you can apply in production/mixing and mastering.
Over the years I run so many times in this issue and this quick tip/trick almost always helps to get rid of it. Especially when you are listening in sub-optimal environments like e.g. your car.

Resonances or "boominess" in the kick will more likely come out in those environments than on calibrated studio speakers or headphones.

Let me know in the comments if it had happened to you before as well?!

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hey peeps. 🔥

Here's another important advice for mastering I want to share with you which is crucial to increase the loudness of a song without distorting it too early on.

Let me know in the comments if you are aware of this little but important "trick"?!

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Hey guys 🔥,

in this weeks Quick Tip, I'm gonna show you how glue compression can help to glue not only single buses together (e.g. bass or drums) but also the drums and bass section.

This is especially for bass-heavy EDM genres very important to consider to achieve this cohesive sound even before the mastering stage.

Make sure to listen to it on good headphones or monitor speakers. Otherwise you'll gonna miss the point. 😊

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Cheers Paddy 🔥

Hey peeps,🔥

I love creating cool sounding atmosphere layers for my own songs but also really enjoying other artists doing the same.
In this week's quick tip, I'm going to show you one easy to follow technique to create atmosphere out of a piano chord progression sample I found within Bitwig.

Enjoy and make sure to follow along if you are unsure how to create cool sounding atmosphere layers in your own productions.

Cheers Paddy🔥

Hey everyone, 🔥

I've recently discovered one cool preset in Fabfilter's C3 Compressor which I really like using. Especially when the low-end of my bass tracks are lacking a bit of the sub-harmonic frequencies.

The preset is called "Low End Bloom" and you can access it via the preset-browser under the category "Bass".

Tweak the Threshold, Ration and Mix-Setting to taste. You can get really great results with it.

I recommend to use it on either your production or in your mix session.

Have a great week everyone.

It is release day!

One year ago @hannah_rbf came to me asking if we could make a song together. Hearing her voice I was immediately sold. This track has seen many versions before release. Thanks to @seventh.sun.studio for helping doing the mixing and mastering on this track and making it release ready.

This track was released independently by Hannah and myself! Hope you’ll enjoy this one because it’s made from the heart by @seventh.sun.studio
