‘ One Weep Away ‘

Weep; to express grief, sorrow, or any overpowering emotion by shedding tears.

Harbor Island has been, for quite some time now, my comfort place. There I often find peace and solace during times heavy and harsh.

The surrounding willows envelop the park, acting as a relief to me as I allow my mind to wander astray during these times.

Regardless of the situation, I know im always one weep away from keeling more calm, thanks to the Harbor Island willows.

Would you know what I’ve been through by looking at me?

Most people just want to fit in, do everyday things, and live their lives without being reminded of their trauma. We don’t want pity or sympathy. We just want the outside world to see us more than an incident, more than a past we want to forget. Or one we outgrew.
