REIMAGINE at the Culver City Arts Festival is a wrap, and what a conversation it was.
Thank you to @helmsdesigndistrict for giving these posters a home and presenting the show. Thank you to the Culver City Arts Festival. And thank you to The 4th Block in Kharkiv, Ukraine, whose “Reimagine the Future” collection made this exhibit possible, and to every designer whose voice is on these walls.
The show asked what it means to reimagine: to see the familiar differently, to reconsider what has been lost and what remains, and to picture what comes next. Posters from around the world answered with ideas of change, renewal, preservation, and possibility. Seeing them hang together, and seeing you stop, look, and talk about them, was the best part.

Podczas jubileuszu 70-lecia Śląskiego Jazz Clubu w foyer Teatru im. Tadeusza Różewicza w Gliwicach można było oglądać wystawę „Dżez dobry / Do zobaczenia”. Jej najważniejszą część stanowiły plakaty festiwalowe Jazz w Ruinach oraz plakaty jury i osób ściśle powiązanych z organizacją Międzynarodowej Wystawy Plakatu (towarzyszącej festiwalowi corocznie od 18 lat). Ekspozycję dopełniały identyfikacja wizualna oraz zdjęcia dokumentujące historię stowarzyszenia.

During the 70th anniversary jubilee of the Śląski Jazz Club, an exhibition titled 'Dżez dobry / Do zobaczenia' was on display in the foyer of the Tadeusz Różewicz Theatre in Gliwice. Its most important part consisted of festival posters from 'Jazz w Ruinach' (Jazz in the Ruins), as well as posters by the jury members and individuals closely associated with the organization of the International Poster Exhibition, which has accompanied the festival annually for 18 years. The display was complemented by the visual identification and photographs documenting the history of the association. taken in Teatr im. Tadeusza Różewicza by @severinchik

For the Culver City Arts Festival, Helms Design District presents REIMAGINE exhibit, a selection of international graphic posters drawn from The 4th Block’s “Reimagine the Future“ Ukraine poster collection @the_4th_block_official

Through different voices, perspectives, and approaches to graphic design, the selected works consider ideas of change, renewal, preservation, progress, and possibility, creating a visual conversation about the world we know and the one we might imagine next.

Zoya Frolova and Janis Jakobsons: Power¿
👁️‍🗨️
Human lives seem to extend from Light to Dark, from Gold to Black.
The Authorities force a parallel amplitude upon each individual life.

Jakobsons’s installation at exhibition “Power¿” is a large gilded screen made of woven paper covered with gold leaf. Its materials evoke both eternity and transience, while the screen itself recalls enduring images of authority, concealment, and display across time and cultures. His gilded objects from the Awards series offer an ironic interpretation of inflated self-esteem and the rituals of recognition.

Beauty becomes a camouflage, covering the petrified essence of the authorities slogans and banners.
We must enjoy this imitated beauty, as we would enjoy a good game.

Did not see a movie yet but this design catch my eye
Live in LA 16 yeast but still don’t understand why is is so hard to find a strong movie poster nowadays. They all looks the same on Netflix or Amazon video.
