A little thank you, and one more big ask!

Thank you to everyone who has bought my book, Rags to Stitches, and helped make it a number one bestseller on Amazon. I really do appreciate your support!

If you’ve already bought a copy, I’d be so grateful if you could take a few minutes to leave a review on Amazon. It really helps other people discover my book.

And if you haven’t got your copy yet, you can find it here:

Last night I attended the Black Achievers Awards and what a wonderful evening it was! 🖤

Although I was nominated, I didn’t win an award this time, but I came away feeling inspired by the amazing people who did.

It was lovely to hear their stories, celebrate their achievements and see the difference they are making in their communities.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees. It was a privilege to be part of such a special evening, and I’m grateful to have been nominated.

More than just a scarf!

When the weather turns colder, you want to stay warm without compromising on style. My winter fabric infinity scarves do just that and ….they have a little secret!

How Sewjackie began.

SewJackie didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a face mask.

During lockdown, someone gave me a face mask as a gift. It sparked an idea, and before long I was making masks for charity.

Back then, I called myself quirkymebyjackie — but it didn’t really tell anyone what I did! As my love of sewing grew into something more, I realised I needed a name that made sense.

And so, SewJackie was born.

Looking back, it’s amazing where one small idea can lead.

Have you ever started something without realising where it might take you?

A scarf with a secret…

My Infinity Scarves with a hidden zipped pocket are one of those SewJackie ideas that came from wanting something practical as well as stylish.

The pocket is discreetly tucked into the scarf, giving you somewhere to keep your phone, cards, keys or even your passport — keeping your hands free and your essentials close.

And now we’re heading into the cooler months, I’ve introduced some heavier-weight fabrics to the collection too.

Practical, comfortable and a little bit clever. 🪡

Ever worn a headband that looks great… but within minutes it’s slipping, digging in or giving you a headache?

That was exactly my problem — and it’s why I created my Twist & Style Headband.

The secret is the flexible wire inside, which means you can twist and style it exactly how you want it to sit.

It’s comfortable, stays where you put it and takes seconds to style.

This little Reel shows just how easy it is.

Available in lots of gorgeous fabrics on the SewJackie website.

New Product

I realised something was missing from SewJackie…

Gifts for the men!

So I’ve been busy making handmade bow ties and matching pocket squares in some gorgeous, quirky fabrics.

And of course, I couldn’t stop there… there are matching accessories too.

Perfect for weddings, parties, special occasions — or just for someone who likes to stand out a little.

They’re now available on my website.

I’d love to know what you think

I actually managed to find a bit of time to make something for myself!

Here’s my version of the New-Look N6606 trouser pattern, made in this vibrant pink Frida Kahlo fabric — one of my favourites.

And of course… they have pockets!

There’s something rather satisfying about making your own clothes. You get exactly the fabric you want, exactly the style you want, and you can never have too many pockets!

Now I just need to find somewhere to wear them… 💗
