📚 Well… Now What?! available now👇
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Have you ever noticed that life has impeccable timing? It waits until you finally feel like you’ve got everything figured out... and then says, “nope.”

Suddenly, your plans change. The relationship ends. The job disappears. The diagnosis comes. The dream takes a detour. Or maybe nothing dramatic happened at all - you just woke up one day wondering how you got so far from the life you imagined. And there it is.

Well... now what? 🙃

It’s the question no one wants to ask, but almost everyone eventually does. Here’s the good news: Needing a new plan doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re human.

That’s exactly why today is such a special day.

“Well.. Now What?! What to Do When Life Goes Sideways” is officially here.

I wrote this book for the people standing in the middle of life’s plot twists. The ones trying to make sense of uncertainty. The ones who don’t need another person telling them to “just stay positive.”

In this book, you’ll find real support, practical tools, honest encouragement, and reminders that you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward! Follow the link in our bio to grab your copy today!

So much of life eventually brings you back to the same place: your relationship with yourself.

How you talk to yourself. How you care for yourself. The boundaries you set. The things you allow. The things you stop chasing. The ways you make room for your own needs.

There are a lot of different roads you can take in life, but so many of them lead back to choosing yourself.

And that’s not selfish. It’s part of growing. 🌱

Ever get so sick of your own behavior that you FINALLY decide to change it? 😂

Same bad habits. Same reactions. Same situations. Different day. And somehow we’re surprised when we get the same results. 🤦‍♀️

Here’s the thing about personal growth and changing old habits…

Sometimes we keep going back to what isn’t working because it’s familiar. And familiar can feel a whole lot more comfortable than the uncertainty of doing something differently. Even when we KNOW better.

I’ve seen it in 25+ years as a therapist, and believe me, being a therapist doesn’t make me immune to it either. 😂

But here’s what I want you to avoid:

Waiting until you’re absolutely miserable before deciding something needs to change. You can recognize an unhealthy pattern before it becomes unbearable. You can make a different choice before you hit your breaking point. And you can start small. Change doesn’t have to begin with some dramatic, life-altering decision.

Sometimes it starts with admitting, “Okay, this really isn’t working for me anymore.”

💬 Let’s be honest: Which one are you?

A. I recognize the pattern and make changes.
B. I recognize the pattern but keep doing it anyway. 😅
C. I usually need to get REALLY fed up before I change.

Drop your letter in the comments! No judgment here.

🗳️ And YOU get to choose our next Well… Now What?! conversation! Head to my Stories and vote in this week’s poll. Your vote decides what we talk about next!

We’re pretty good at noticing when something feels wrong. We don’t always give the same attention to the moments that feel good.

That’s where SEW Moments come in. They’re those small pockets of life that help you feel present, connected, and alive.

You don’t need to make them bigger than they are. Just notice them when they happen.

Well.. Now What?! What to Do When Life Goes Sideways explores practical ways to support your wellbeing through everyday life - including making space to recognize the moments that feel good, too.

What if you paid a little more attention to those moments this week? 😊

Think SEW Balance is for people who are struggling? Not necessarily...

You don’t have to be in crisis. You don’t have to have a diagnosis. You don’t have to be at the end of your rope or waiting for something to go wrong.

SEW Balance is for real people living real lives.

The person who wants to understand themselves better. The person who knows stress has been taking up a little too much space. The person trying to build better habits. The person navigating a major life change. The person who is doing okay but knows they want to feel more supported, grounded, and connected to their wellbeing.

Mental health isn’t only something we pay attention to when we’re struggling.

Your wellbeing deserves attention in the ordinary parts of life, too.

That’s why Lepa created resources that meet you where you are - from the SEW Balance Assessment, which gives you a personalized snapshot of your wellbeing, to Well.. Now What?!, a practical guide for those moments when life goes sideways and you’re trying to figure out what to do from there.

You don’t have to wait until you’re falling apart to start taking care of yourself. 💜 Follow the in our bio to learn more!

You know you’re an overthinker when the actual problem ends… but the meeting in your head continues. 😂

You replay the conversation. Rewrite the text you already sent. Research something you basically already decided. Think of 14 ways something could go wrong. Then wonder if you’re overthinking your overthinking.

Sound familiar?

The problem isn’t thinking things through. That’s useful.

It’s when thinking stops helping you move forward and starts convincing you that you need certainty before you can make a decision.

And unfortunately… certainty is not usually available for purchase. 😂

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental wellbeing is stop asking, “What if I get this wrong?” and start asking, “What’s the next step I can actually take?”

That’s your reminder this week:

You don’t need to solve every possible problem before you take the next step.

And considering this topic required a RUNOFF to win, I have a feeling there are a few overthinkers hanging around here. 👀😂

So go vote in the poll on my story:

What do you overthink the MOST?

A. Decisions
B. Conversations
C. Things that haven’t even happened yet
D. All of the above, obviously 😂

There are things we miss that we wouldn’t actually choose again.

A person. A place. A season of life. An old routine. A version of ourselves. Even a feeling we haven’t experienced in a long time.

And missing it can make us question ourselves. Did I make the wrong choice? Should I go back? Why do I still think about this if I know I’ve moved on?

But nostalgia isn’t always a sign that you need to return. Sometimes it’s simply showing you that something mattered.

The question isn’t always, “How do I get that back?” Sometimes it’s “What was I getting from that time in my life that I’m craving now?”

That answer can tell you a lot.

Try the exercise in this carousel and get curious about what’s underneath the missing. You might discover that what you’re longing for isn’t the past at all. It’s something you can make room for in the life you’re living now.

And if life has left you wondering, Well... now what? - that’s exactly where our book, Well.. Now What?! What to Do When Life Goes Sideways comes in. It’s a practical guide for navigating the moments when life changes, plans shift, and you’re trying to figure out what comes next. 📚

You don’t have to stop caring about what was in order to keep moving toward what’s next.💜

There’s something about fall that makes you reflect a little.

Maybe it’s the changing trees, the cooler days, the familiar routines coming back around, or just the feeling that the year is quietly moving into a different chapter.

It can be a reminder of how much we can learn from the seasons of our own lives, too. Not everything needs to stay the same. Not every season needs the same version of us. And there can be a lot of beauty in allowing life to unfold without needing to control every part of it.

So here are a few reminders fall has to offer this year. 🍂

Which one resonates with you most?

Plot twist… the mental health therapist is going through it too.

Turns out, knowing what to do when someone or something is draining your energy and actually DOING it are two very different things. 👀

Especially when doing something differently feels uncomfortable.

Maybe you’re used to being the one who fixes things. Keeps the peace. Answers the call. Explains yourself. Gives another chance. Carries more than your share because somehow that feels easier than dealing with what might happen if you stop.

And then you finally change something… and suddenly YOU feel like the problem.

That’s the tricky part.

Because discomfort has a sneaky way of making us question ourselves.

Was I too harsh?
Am I being selfish?
Should I just let it go?
Maybe I should have handled it differently?

Sometimes, yes. We need to reconsider our response.

But sometimes? Uncomfortable doesn’t mean wrong. It might simply mean you’re responding differently than you normally do.

Setting a boundary when you usually accommodate. Letting someone manage their own feelings instead of managing them for them. Not fixing something that isn’t yours to fix. Or allowing someone to be disappointed without immediately making their disappointment your responsibility.

And WOW can that feel uncomfortable. 😬

I know the tools. I TEACH the tools.

And apparently, I still have to practice the freaking tools too. 😂💜

That’s SEW Balance.

So here’s something to sit with this week:

What are you doing differently right now that feels uncomfortable…but might actually be good for you? 👇

1. Letting them sit with it.
2. Saying no.
3. Waiting before I respond.
4. Ohhhh, I have THE example. 😂

Drop your number below. And if you picked #4 and feel like sharing, I want to hear it. 👀

And don’t forget to head to my Stories and vote for next week’s Well… Now What?! topic.

If no one has told you lately, being uncomfortable doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong. 💭

Some discomfort deserves your attention. Other discomfort comes with uncertainty, vulnerability, change, or doing something new.

The goal isn’t to ignore the feeling or force yourself through it. It’s learning to get curious about what’s underneath it before deciding what to do.

What am I actually feeling?
What is this feeling asking me to notice?
Is this a real threat or is this unfamiliar?
What do I need to do with this information?

You don’t have to have the perfect answer. You just have to give yourself enough space to respond instead of automatically reacting.

And when life feels uncomfortable, uncertain, or just plain sideways, this exercise and our book, Well..Now What?!, can help you navigate those moments with a little more clarity and support. Follow the link in our bio to grab your copy.💜
