The last summer set for the last of the sun in Mykonos 🇬🇷

I made this duo from the fun @fabricgodmother Cartolina print in viscose and linen blend 😍

The trousers pattern is @hisydgraham’s #lanepants, which were a nice and easy make. I found them a little too high waisted for my liking so I might make some tweaks next time, but they’re otherwise super comfy.

The top was self drafted based on a top I already own from @nobodyschild. I really need to do a refresher on the bodice drafting class I did a few years ago to get better with drafting armholes, there was a lot of trial and error but they fit well now.

No idea when I’ll next get the chance to sew now that I’m juggling full time work and looking after Theo, but hopefully it’s not too far off. 🧵 by @sewchloehyde

This one’s a little late - I made this Ganni-inspired top last summer and have finally gotten around to taking photos of it.

I followed @the_crafty_pie’s hack for @thenewcrafthouse Everyday Top pattern, which was straightforward enough. I find the back is slightly tight so I could’ve sized up, but I otherwise love it. @fabricgodmother does also now have a pattern to make a Ganni-inspired top so there are plenty of options.

Sewing has been on the back burner for a while thanks to this little guy but now that he’s learnt how to model standing up, it’s the perfect time to revive my sewing account.

Theo is wearing the Florrie Woven Romper by @pattern_paper_scissors in safari animals sweatshirt fabric from @myfabricscouk. It was a nice and easy make that came together quickly.

I did actually make a few things in 2024 that I never got around to posting so I’ll share them soon. by @sewchloehyde

Back in Autumn, I tried on this wool top with a cute houndstooth pinafore in Claudie Pierlot. Aside from being an expensive combination, the pinafore didn’t suit my body shape, so I decided to buy the top and make a wool skirt.

I used the same adapted a-line skirt I previously made, inspired by the @tillybuttons Delphine, but without the waistband, and additional darts. I love this pattern, it fits so well and it’s such a satisfyingly easy sewing project.

The Randall Houndstooth Wool came from @fabricgodmother, and I used chocolate brown lining fabric from @minervadotcom. taken in London, United Kingdom by @sewchloehyde

My second @peppermintmagazine ruffle sleeve top is getting plenty of use in hot and humid Penang.

I’ve always loved the original but sadly, the seams are starting to fray, so it was time for a replacement. This time, I sized up for more shoulder movement and already had the adjusted bust darts marked up from the original version.

Ok, so this is very much out of season for London, but I’m prepping for Australian sun next month ☀️
This dress is a DIY combination of a few different patterns. I used the @merchantandmills Bantam Dress to make the top half and then invented the skirt using a combination of the @grainlinestudio Alder Shirt Dress and pockets from the @tillybuttons Indigo Dress. It was my first time making this dress and I really love the result, it’s an easy ‘throw on and go’ style with no fastenings, but still plenty of shape. The only thing I might change next time is the curve along the waist line.

This great quality linen came from @merchantandmills when I was in Rye earlier in summer.

My @papercutpatterns Estella Dress went on holiday to Croatia 🌊
This floaty pattern is perfect for a hot holiday by the sea. I went for the skirt and top variation for versatility, which hopefully means I can get more wear out if it in not-so-hot London.

The pattern was easy to follow; I made the skirt super quickly, and spent a bit more time on the top.

Matchy matchy!
A summer robe had been on my sewing list for a while but it was only after stumbling upon this matching cotton in @simplyfabricsbrixton that I decided to also make one for my husband.

I found the @tessutifabrics robe pattern easy to follow and didn’t make any mistakes, but it was more time consuming than I had expected. I love the end result though and it feels like a really good quality robe that should last.

The pattern comes in four sizes, technically made for women. I made the size one for myself and size four for Asher, but if I made it again, I’d size up and make myself a size two to get more wrap. taken in London, United Kingdom by @sewchloehyde

New @simplicitymccallsuk #M7838 blouse in @libertyfabrics Posey Polka Tana Lawn 😍

I’m loving how this blouse turned out, this fabric and pattern really were made for each other. The pattern is relatively simple to follow and the fit is perfect.

The shell front buttons were from my @fabricgodmother advent calendar. I made some small adjustments, which I’ve detailed in my blog via the link in my bio. 👆🏻

I’ve finally finished my Chanel inspired Vogue V7975 jacket.
This one was quite a project, starting with a toile back in October last year.
I love the explosion of colour that is this @lintontweeds fabric from @misanretail.
Lilac lining from @minervadotcom.

My spooky outfit for the @newcrafthouse party last weekend 👻 I hacked the @tillybuttons Indigo Dress sleeves to create a puffed sleeve and swapped the two piece sleeve for three rows of shirring above the elbow.
The under dress is a @truebias Ogden Cami top with a gathered skirt using the same pieces as the Indigo dress.
Both fabrics were from @minervadotcom.
Also featured but lacking a close-up is spider web makeup. taken in London, United Kingdom by @sewchloehyde

Another @megannielsenpatterns Rowan Tee. I love how useful and simple this pattern is, I’ve already used it about four times and can see it’s going to get a lot more use.
