Our October Chamber Session brought Mozart’s “Spring” quartet to the middle of autumn. Around it were Haydn’s “Fifths” quartet, Piazzolla’s seductive Oblivion, the opening movement of Schubert’s string quintet, Beethoven’s Op. 18 No. 4 c-minor quartet, piano trios by Haydn and Schumann, and, to close, all of Brahms’ brooding c-minor piano quartet.

Bravo to our session players @music_n_mountains, @mateo_vg, @edbaskerville404, @james.jaffe, @jonleepiano, and @dmitriyevstifeev, who stepped in on a day’s notice. Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃

For September, we leaned into early autumn: Beethoven in two guises, with the A-major String Quartet, Op. 18 No. 5 and the youthful Piano Quartet, Op. 16; the ardent opening of Fauré’s C-minor Piano Quartet; Brahms’ stormy D-minor Violin Sonata; Haydn’s G-minor “Sun” Quartet; and, to close, Brahms’ lush G-major String Sextet with all six strings on stage.

Thanks to our session players @edbaskerville404, @supersizemyfoiegras, @theejoshhchoii, @alex_gavriilidis_petrin, @yk.violin, @jonleepiano, and @jenadler.mathers, who graciously stepped in at the last minute.
