FOMA Gallery Four Views: Part Deux photography exhibition continues until March 14. Bonnie and I will be hosting a gathering with sweets on Saturday, Valentine's Day at the gallery. There will be new works of art on view. @bonnie.bishop.photography I will be displaying new photographs from the Humus II series - see link in the bio.

Bashō states: “Learn how to listen as things speak for themselves.” Nature, in this sense, is a teacher without agenda. By softening my relationship to time, I enter into a receptive exchange with the landscape—one that reveals layers upon layers, worlds nestled within worlds.

12th SITE SANTA FE International: Participants + Venue Pairings Announced!

Where you can find artists’ works in dialogue with figures of interest across the city 🗺️

📍The exhibition will extend beyond SITE SANTA FE to over a dozen partner venues including museums, cultural institutions, a cannabis shop, a toy shop, a former foundry, and more

📍Once Within a Time features more than 300 artworks, including exciting new commissions and site-specific installations

📍Over 90 participants whose art and stories will inspire new narratives when viewed in dialogue with New Mexico’s rich artistic and literary history

Wow!!
Last night at Garage Gallery (aka my studio) was incredible!! Thank you to all who came and to the time to listen to @gimpporvida , @cpeach_art and my stories and depend time with our work. My heart is full ❤️❤️❤️.

Erika Wanenmacher: what Time Travel feels like, sometimes opens at SITE SANTA FE next Fri, Nov 15

@ewanenmacher is a New Mexico-based artist that uses autobiography and visual storytelling to unravel universal narratives.

Influenced by a punk and DIY ethos, her paintings, prints, sculptures, videos, and installations often feature unexpected materials sourced from thrift stores, dumps, and walks through nearby arroyos—sites where history, memory, and imagination converge.

Her work is also on view at @meowwolfsantafe, who is co-presenting the exhibition at @sitesantafe.

Seven groundbreaking and impactful individuals have been selected for the 2024 Governor’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts. For fifty years, the Awards have brought attention to the expansive arts and culture community in New Mexico, highlighting the people who have contributed to it becoming both an economic driver and a matter of state pride.
Diné and Puerto Rican dancer Jock Soto from Eagle Nest, is a former principal dancer with the New York City Ballet (1981-2005) and is celebrated for his powerful technique and artistry. Beyond performing, he has significantly contributed as a choreographer, teacher, and writer, leaving a lasting impact on the dance world.

The SFAI Executive Director shapes the organizational vision, values, and culture; sets and executes strategy; drives fundraising efforts and diversifies funding streams; manages the budget; engages community partners, including donors; supervises the program, fund development, and operations staff and consultants; and collaborates with the Board of Trustees in forward thinking to ensure the stability, and sustainability of the organization.

As SFAI approaches its 40th anniversary, and continues to evolve, this is an extremely exciting time to join, lead and influence the next phase of the organization’s growth, cultural and social diversity, and to develop new income streams for the long-term sustainability and success of SFAI.
