💀 Gunmetal Gods Saga 💀

@zamilakhtarauthor Gunmetal Gods saga is freaking epic. My reviews for Gunmetal Gods and Death Rider are on @sffinsiders if you're vacillating between starting these books.

These Kickstarter editions from @merrickbookshop are out of this world gorgeous. Check out the covers, spines, naked hardcovers, and some of my favorite illustrations (plus a surprise from the last campaign at the end!) These books are completely chock full of haunting illustrations, beautiful chapter headers, and everything else you could possibly hope for in a special edition.

The @kickstarter for book 4, Dark Drinker, is live right now and if you missed out on the previous Kickstarters, all these are still available!

📚 COVER ART THAT DESERVES TO BE FRAMED | PART 1 🎨

💬 QUESTION: What book cover made you fall in love with a book before you’d even read a single page? 👀📖

They say never judge a book by its cover, but when books look THIS good, how are we supposed to resist?! 😍🔥

I thought it was about time I showcased some of my favourite covers from my collection, and what better way to start than with these absolute beauties! 📚✨

From breathtaking illustrations and vibrant colours to intricate naked hardbacks and stunning sprayed edges, these editions are works of art in their own right. 🎨💛

One of my favourite things about collecting special editions is seeing how much creativity and attention to detail goes into bringing these stories to life beyond the pages.

And believe me, narrowing down my favourites was no easy task! 😂

This is only Part 1, because there are far too many gorgeous editions sitting on my shelves to squeeze into one post! 👀

👇 Which of these covers is your favourite? And what book should I feature in Part 2?

I have tagged some of you to take part 😈 by @sffinsiders

📦 SUNDAY SPECIAL EDITION UNBOXING EP. 43 📦

💬 QUESTION: Which Shadow of the Leviathan special edition is your favourite so far? 👀

The collection is finally complete… for now! 🩸🌿

After being lucky enough to read an eARC of A TRADE OF BLOOD, I’ve been VERY impatiently waiting to get this beautiful special edition in my hands. And now that it’s here… just LOOK AT IT. 😍📚

The details, the naked hardback, those edges! 🤌✨ Another stunning addition to The Tainted Cup and A Drop of Corruption, and seeing all three together is ridiculously satisfying.

Ana & Din now officially have their rightful place on the shelf. 🧠🔎

🐉SFF Insiders Review: Blood and Coin by Philip C. Quaintrell 🐉

**Please, please check out my full, SPOILER-FILLED review over on SFF Insiders**

Blood and Coin is a bloody, violent exploration of Asher’s core identity as he battles between the deathly efficient Assassin and the dangerous, atoning Ranger. Set a few years after The Court of Assassins, Asher has made his way in the world, finding and killing (or capturing when the money is right) monsters that are terrorizing the populace. He does it for coin. But, he also does it as an internal way to quiet his demons and atone for his past sins as an Assassin of Nightfall. Early in Blood and Coin, Asher makes acquaintances with a dwarven family, where he is crucial in saving their daughter. He develops a close relationship with this family, spending time with them and enjoying familial relations that have eluded him for most of his life. Unfortunately, due to a number of situations and circumstances, their safety is placed in jeopardy, and Asher is forced to travel to the criminal island of Dragorn to fight for their, and his, lives. It is while in the gladiatorial pits of Dragorn that the Assassin begins to emerge after nearly 4 years when the Ranger held prominence.

The Ranger Archive has been a fantastic entry into Verda. While there are multiple POVs in Blood and Coin, the main focus is still definitely on Asher and his development and struggles. This narrowed in focus has allowed me to really marinate with Asher as a character, understanding who he is, who he wants to be, and who he is running from.

@philipcquaintrell.author has created one of my favorite assassins with Asher. He is nuanced, grumpy, and extremely deadly. I cannot wait to continue reading this series and then jumping into the Echoes Saga. Quaintrell has created an epic world in the land of Verda that is so obviously rich in characters, lore, adventure, and obviously....monsters.

🩸 SFF INSIDERS REVIEW: A TRADE OF BLOOD 🩸

💬 QUESTION: Are you ready for another mystery with Ana & Din? 👀

A sinister augmentation. A haunting tune. And a mystery where not everyone can be saved. 🌿🎶

I was incredibly lucky to receive an eARC of A TRADE OF BLOOD from Del Rey Books, and as someone who absolutely loves this series, the excitement was REAL! 🥹📚

@r.jackson.bennett takes us deeper into Din’s story, expands an already fascinating world and once again lets Ana’s ridiculous intellect take centre stage. 🧠🔎

Gripping, unsettling and another reminder of just how much this series still has left to explore.

But did it live up to The Tainted Cup and A Drop of Corruption? 👀

Talk about a midweek pick me up 😁 I want to give a massive thank you to @tbbpublishing and @ryancahillauthor for sending me an ARC of "The Truth".

The Bound and the Broken is not only an all time favorite series of mine but it's been a gateway to helping get a number of my IRL friends back into reading.

I can't wait to dive in and see what truths are revealed. 😁 by @sffinsiders

COVER REVEAL

It's my pleasure to help reveal the latest book in the Hybrid Helix series "Mortality Gauntlet" which drops on October 20, 2026.

Those who know me know how much I love this space opera and how I personally feel it's one of the most underrated indie series out today.

Blurb:

The real Hyperion was Rohan's hero. His idol. His mentor. Even his friend.

The shadow of that man has been Rohan's friend, his confidante, then his rival, and ultimately his enemy.

That shadow has caused the death of innocents. Has attempted to destroy the entire human race. Cares for nothing but his own revenge.

He's stronger than Rohan, tougher. And he's enhanced his abilities with esoteric chemicals that shouldn't exist.
The one time they fought, he beat Rohan handlily.

Savagely.

Rohan thinks he can stop his nemesis. He thinks he has what it takes to win. Enough strength. Enough Power.

Enough love.

Is he crazy?

Or is he smarter than anybody realizes?

When it all ends, who will grieve?

🐉 The Truth: Happy Release Day 🐉

HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO @ryancahillauthor!!

The Truth is finally out in the world and The Truth will set you free!!

This is the last novella in The Bound and the Broken and, in my humble opinion, some of Ryan's best writing and his strongest novella. And that's saying something because I've loved his novellas.

This is my daily reminder that if you haven't started The Bound and the Broken, this is your call! It's one of my all time favorite series! DM me if you have any questions at all about how to start, where to buy the books, etc.

My full review of The Truth (with spoilers) is on @sffinsiders if you're interested!
