This is something with a lot of meaning behind it—not just because it’s vintage, but because it captures a piece of my late father’s legacy and an important chapter of San Francisco lowrider history.

Having my late father, Paul Camilleri Sr., recognized in the November 1979 issue of Lowrider magazine connects family history with community history. It also mentions the early San Francisco clubs and pioneers like Jerry Griego, co-founding president of the San Francisco Lowrider Council. My late father, Paul Camilleri, was also the co-founding president of Las Estrellas, making this more than a magazine feature—it’s a record of the people who helped build a culture, a brotherhood, and a community that still exists today.

From the bottom of my heart, preserving that history matters to me—not only the cars, but the people, the friendships, and what those pioneers created together so future generations would know where it all began.

With love and respect,Paul Camilleri Jr. by @sffrosty
