Endless fun today making abstract animations on the overhead projector. Come and have a go at making your own at our workshop this Saturday at Sixteen Gallery. See slide 2 for details.

More materials have been added to the interactive projection space at our exhibition Eutierria which you can play around with for free! taken in Sixteen Gallery by @sfoxcreative

First 29secs (342 frames) of a music/lyric animation challenge I’ve set myself to discover what I enjoy about making abstract animations in this draw on film style with paper.

I started off trying to be precise with movement of shapes, then tried to break out of that a little feeling pretty unsure of myself.

In the end when the lyrics finally come in I got a bit more messy, confident and loose with mark making - this is the part I enjoyed the most. It felt like the mark making allowed me to become more immersed and transfer the energy through my body better, which I guess could be important for me to be able to see a project through to the end.

Wondering if I’ve got it in me to make the next 30 seconds 😂

I’m using a dope sheet to sync the animation with the song Not Enough by Daughter.

A mess at home is distressing but a mess in my studio @thewilsonchelt is comforting…?

Made thumbnails today for an analogue lyric animation of some sort to practice timing. Lyrics can hold so much weight. But they provoke me to make something. Trying not to overthink it and enjoy feeling things out with what I have and see what comes out. taken in The Wilson, Cheltenham's art gallery and museum by @sfoxcreative
