I’m wrapping up my workshop trilogy on TV screenwriting with “The serial narrative engine” led by Marc Herpoux at @ceea_paris, alongside my fellow participants… in the gorgeous Hôtel de Massa (Paris). Now let’s write some shows!

-

✍️ Marc Herpoux studied visual arts and communication at Les Beaux Arts before moving into screenwriting and becaming widely recognized through his long-running creative partnership with Hervé Hadmar. Together, they created acclaimed television series including Les Oubliées (2008), Pigalle, la nuit (2009), Signature (2011), and Les Témoins (2015). In 2023, he co-wrote the screenplay for the mini-series Sambre. by @sgalibert

Thank you to Vincent Poymiro and David Elkaïm, two fantastic and inspiring screenwriters who were our “teachers” for this 3-days course on TV Screenwriting at La Femis @lafemis.paris. It was a lot of fun, and we learnt so much ! ✨

-

🖌️ Vincent Poymiro worked across many genres with figures like Michel Muller, Sébastien Lifshitz, Olivier Nakache, and Éric Toledano, while continuing to write for dance and physical theater. In 2004, he began collaborating with Raphaël Nadjari, co-writing Téhilim, selected for the 60th Cannes Film Festival. In 2012, he co-created and co-wrote the series Thus They Are (Ainsi Soient-Ils) with David Elkaïm, broadcast on Arte and later Netflix. Alongside his writing career, he has co-led the Series department at La Fémis since 2018. He continues to write for both film (Diamant Noir, Maryland, Onoda) and television, including series like The World of Tomorrow, In Therapy, Gone for Good, and A Chance in Your Life.

🖋️David Elkaïm has been a writer and director for nearly thirty years. With Vincent Poymiro, he has co-led the Series department at La Fémis since 2018.
In 2012, he co-wrote Thus They Are (Ainsi Soient-Ils), followed by feature films like Poissonsexe and series including In Therapy, Gone for Good, and A Chance in Your Life. He is currently developing the series The Other Girl with Poymiro. taken in La Fémis by @sgalibert

What a chance to attend Nicola Lusuardi’s masterclass “TV Series: The Storytelling Revolution,” organized by @ceea_paris .

I learned so much in 3 days, connected with (new) friends, and dove back into some of the most iconic TV shows of the past 40 years - Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Sopranos, ER, Friends, and many more.

🖌️Nicola Lusuardi is a screenwriter and producer for Italian and European productions. His work includes, among others, The Young Pope and the Italian version of In Treatment. He has also published the book “The Serial Revolution.” by @sgalibert
