When the kids were each in 4th grade they'd decorate a plate at school to give to mom & dad for Christmas. They're one of my favorite Christmas decorations to this day 🎄☃️🎁 taken in Grafton, Wisconsin by @sgrmplacre

I'm overwhelmed with emotions tonight. Sweet Cleo was found as a stray and came to the humane society about 10 days ago. She gave birth soon after - on August 22, and this afternoon we brought them home as our newest fosters. What a good mama. 💕 by @sgrmplacre

I'm a volunteer for the Wisconsin Humane as a small animal fosterer (dogs, cats, etc) taking care of animals until they find an adopter. WHS also has a wildlife rehab. division. Very long story short - today I was thrilled to join 2 volunteers from the wildlife dept. as they released a small family of orphaned Canadian goslings into the care of a new family (that I had spotted in Grafton that I thought might be a good match). The orphaned goslings have to be similar in age to the ones of the family that they're joining (for the best chance of success). What an absolutely amazing sight it was! After being released from their carrier (just one at first to see if it would work) an adult goose immediately strutted uphill towards the baby and lead it to it's new pond! The others followed as if they knew exactly where they were meant to be. Just WOW! ❤️ 😭 What a wonderful thing these people do! taken in Grafton, Wisconsin by @sgrmplacre

Doing a bit of volunteer work at the Ozaukee Food Pantry always gives me a little hope about the world we're living in now. This last Friday we had our monthly drive-up food pantry. So many kind people ❤️. And the amount of food donated by our local businesses and community members - WOW ... truly awe inspiring! taken in Saukville, Wisconsin by @sgrmplacre

We recently became fosterers for the Wisconsin Humane Society. Meet Ozark ❤️ - our first foster baby! She's about 3 months old and weighs 10 lbs. 😊. If anyone knows of a way to not fall in love please let me know soon! Nevermind ~ it's too late. by @sgrmplacre
