Aha! This is the story of a B.T.S. INSPIRED TRAILER. As we filmed #2AsunderTheMovie, our B.T.S. (Behind The Scenes) guy Fred @fredgikandi was capturing everything, shooting his own “version” of the film”. We gave him clips from the final film, and this is what he created? We thought, why not share this with you too? Gives you a glimpse of more of the amazing cast as well as an peek into the story.

2 ASUNDER premieres on Friday 15th November 2024 in Cinemas and on an Online Pay-Per-View platform. Details following shortly. by @shaa_ciku

A lifetime with my Babu, My Warrior. 🕊️

Hey Babu,
It’s been really heartbreaking to watch you these last few months. To see you slowly fade away. To slowly start imagining a future without you, one where we wouldn’t get to share all the joys of the things we prayed and hoped for together. To imagine a future where I’ll never get to hear your voice or your stories again; where you will never pinch my cheeks, or flick my nose.
To imagine that I can’t sit in your arms, hug you, and hold your hand, that I won’t hear you call somebody an idiot again, or rub your shiny bald head and make fun of all your white hairs. I’ll never hear you tease one of my friends or me again. I’ll never hear your laughter, or share in your joy one more time.

Babu, I love you. You really are my favorite guy. I love all the different things that make up who you are, Rukaria Raaria Gitonga, son of his mother, Serah. I’m really going to miss seeing you sit up in your chair, all bold and audacious, telling us about all your adventures. From stealing sweet potatoes from someone’s farm, to traversing some very serious and complicated dynamics. I’m gonna miss having your strength, your courage, and your integrity to look up to. In my mind, you’ll always be a warrior because I know you really had to fight to get here. I know your journey wasn’t easy, and I take great pride in knowing your genes run through me and I can face very high mountains.

I loved growing up with you, Babu. From my blurry memory of living with you in Meru, to you falling asleep while watching movies at our home in Langata, and I’d tell you to go to bed, but you’d always argue and say you weren’t sleeping. Mind you, I was the child in this situation. I love learning from you about our people, about your father, our lineage and where we come from, and about the different people of Africa and how we all got here. I remember taking you to vote.
I remember visiting you in Meru with Mom, Ethan, my friends, and my cousins. You always welcomed us and always had a story to tell, “Naturally.” You also took a real serious interest in the people we brought around you. It was always wonderful to know that, by @shaa_ciku

This was supposed to be my “I’m back in Kenya post.” After bullying @leonsdiff into taking these, I never posted them lol. Anyway, as I sit in my bed fighting a flu and cramps (worst combo to exist), I’m just thinking about what a blessing it is to be here.

So much has happened to me, for me, because of me, or simply just happened this year. Good and terrible things. Lakini, the thing that’s kept me going is finding joy. Smiling at the little and big things, sometimes laughing at the bad. You just gotta keep following the light and find your special glimmer for the day.

Today, being alive is my special occasion. by @shaa_ciku

#SCADTVFEST Day 3 was very affirming and encouraging for me. A lot of the creators who spoke seemed to really have humanity as their core driving force. Which these days doesn’t often seem like the case in any industry. It gave me hope that there’s people ahead of us trying their best to create a world (creatively or otherwise) that cares. From the showrunners, producers, and actors, I feel like we’ll be mostly okay. What a beautiful final day of @SCADTVFEST
Also, for context when they (@quintab & @thesherylleeralph ) say focus on your craft, they mean it in the sense of refining the skills you would need to use to be whoever you want to be.

SOI at #SCADTVFEST day 2!
This was a very IMPACTful day for me, and my favorite day too. Getting to hear directly from creators of media you consumed in your childhood and even now does something for your brain. I was also given really great advice from my fave, and some affirmation.

2025!
What a blur! I feel like 2025 was a very fast year but so much happened. I barely had a chance to catch my breath.
I’m so glad I got to experience it. All parts of it from the pain to the joy. I’m glad I was a part of creating historical moments in different spaces. I’m glad love surrounded me and was poured into me. I’m so happy for the sunshine and all the adventures I experienced.

2025 expanded me like never before. I grew so much! I grew in knowledge, in friendship, in patriotism, in creativity, in joy, in faith, and I grew in love. I’m grateful, oh so grateful. 🧡🙏🏾✨
