Booked our yearly social over 6month in advance as we have done the past 5years.. this time it was for ladywood big lake. First time fishing the venue, it just so happened to land on the first major heatwave we had in may. Luckily managed to catch the tail end of spawning with 4 nights ahead of us we knew it was going to be a tough ask. Very fortunate to of managed 3 fish! As per carpcrazy angling centre rl1 doing the job 🎣🔥

Trip i did to france last year, etang de maria. Has a large stock of mix species from carp, cats, sturgeon and grasses. As always carpcrazy rl1 boilies doing the job.

I ended up being middle man although getting off to a pretty good start early in the week it really punished me for the latter half. Biggest going 40lb. Plenty of action for the whole group and certianly kept me busy! 20years ago i was last in france so its been long over due. Im sure another trip will be in the pipeline before long.

You can check out the video over on my youtube.

END OF AN ERA! Part 2. As per my previous post, short very sweet campaign as i started in the april little did i know what was to come, by late autumn the pond started to take a turn..

The farmer whom owned the land started to do work at the back of the pond.. bulldozing the trees and bushes that once over hung the waters edge. Upon my next visit everything was gone completely desimated i felt a great sadness for the place and i lost my connection to the place.

I did one last fare well trip at the turn of the year, bitterly cold hard frost but managed a lovely common and that was that. The lease did not get renewed and a tucked away quiet gem in east yorkshire was lost. Thank you for the time shared with 'the long lake' and the lads i met along the way.

So its been a little while since my last post 😅 I think its time to get through my back catalogue of captures. All succumbing to the ever faithful RL1 boilie range

Kicking things off part 1 of my short campaign, on a gorgeous little overgrown shallow pond thick with weed and over hangs. The fish although not big, where all huge characters. True pleasure to meet there acquaintance. An utter shame my time came to an abrubt end (more on that in part 2)

Rounded off the year with some mega characters from the local club lake. With a good weather system due to start, i was confident of a few fish. However by the end of the 48hr I got more than I bargend for with a total of 7 carp landed! With all the fish coming to one rod it was certainly a case of being on the right spot at the right time.

Good couple of session on the syndicate recently, Few weeks back I had the lovely buttons out at 26.6lb.

This recent visit brought about a lovely 20lb mirror and one of the highlights of the session, and a target ticked off the list. The stunning baby peach! At 29.10lb.

Long may it continue into the autumn my favourite time to be out on the bank.

🚨PB ALERT!!!!🚨 NOT EVEN SORRY!! 😂 honestly, yeah, I brought a big stinky snotter onto the bank.

Loved every minute admiring this majestic creature. It's an absolute unit!! Never come across anything on this scale. Weighing in at 15.08lb blew me away.

Selling my gear this is the future 😆 ha, enough gest, it is impressive and totally unexpected as they aint many in this venue. Fair play bream.

Over nighter on the local club lake, first session on it this year. With campaign fishing on pause for the summer, it was nice to go get a couple of bends in the rods.

Also testing out a new bait, which brought 8 out of the 10 fish to the bank! Mega result and gained confidence trying it elsewhere.

Had a right ol touch this weekend down the pack, managed two incredible carp! Still struggling to believe it. To be off the mark so quickly 🔥

Half tail at 30.12lb an escapee from pit 4, non the less a proper character fish which was returned to its rightful home. 🎣

Followed up by stanleys a true pit 7 fish at 28.8oz which also equals my long standing p.b common! Il break it someday. 🙌

Big thanks to Karl for the epic pictures and helping me sort the fish and great company 👍

All fish coming to carp crazy RL1 🤌

Woolpack gem from few weeks on pit4. Forgot to post the full picture... so here she is. Just need to get among them in pit 7 now 🤞🎣 got the whole of May to hopefully get off the mark.

Up against it, as a weekend warrior, incredible set of anglers, and mega pressured. My opinion, its the modern version of yateley. Stoked to be in the mix and relish the challenges.

Talk about a whirlwind session! @woolpackfishery Pit 4 Exlusive. All the emotions, from a confident start, all the conditions where prime and in the making of a real good session.

Roughly 72hrs into the session, between the 4 of us with still nothing to show for our efforts, the doubt setting in, panic, helplessness, there was little more we could do our end... just keep pressing reset and wait.

Fortunately, the first one slipped up on the last full day as dad's rod burst to life, King of the lake! Taking the needle round to 38.14lb! A NEW PB!

The confidence boost we all desperately needed, still plenty of time left for us all to get in on the action. However, the rest of the day fell silent.

With the final morning upon us, the last 4hours of the session turned into a flurry of takes for my brother and myself. With the final fish to be plucked from the pond. A truly remarkable classic woolpack fish, small fins, rounded tail. MEGA!
