I had a lot of really good photos from my Scanlan shoot so have the other pride flag ones I loved for the end of pride month! Trafalgar Law's sword was definitely a tricky sword to figure out. For the crosses I spray painted the scabbard white, let that dry, then used vinyl stickers I had cut out to mask them off, spray painted black over it all, then removed the vinyl. I also had to get the length to be correct with my height and get it to still have the slight curve a katana has while still having supports in the blade. Getting both ends of the red rope to come out the top was also annoying to figure out. My Astarion props were created more for my love of BG3 and wanting decor for my room of it. The book was my ideal prop to work on though, I got do a little 3d print elements, making the hidge work and the clasps close, paper mache, sourcing real amethyst gems, and lighting (the eyes and mouth glow). It was a ton of fun. This is proof of my terrible posting. This is my Felix that I made for Ichiban in 2022 and I wore it again at AWA 2023 and I believe this is the first time sharing it outside of stories, oops? I'm extremely proud of this costume, I learned a lot of new sewing techniques for it. This Momocon was almost a perfect Momocon, it was my friends and I 4th year going and we finally cracked the code. Getting to see the Critical Role panel even though we were a bit later then intended (body paint takes so long man) and had to sit pretty far back we still made it to the room and they were lovely, it was so nice hearing them talk in person. I do wish Robbie was apart of it though or even did any panel over the weekend, I wanted to hear that man speak as well but alas. Meeting Ashley as Vaelus and Sam as Scanlan was amazing, the autograph experience I had was run really well and was really easy even with my anxiety. I also talked to way more people then I normally do, made a lot of line friends and had some nice interactions with fellow critters. I will never get over how nice critical role cosplayers are really. Finding the unofficial critical role meetup on Sunday was such a blessing and a great way to end the con. I first wore Vax'ildan almost a year ago for Momocon but didn't get a single photo.
