Super excited to announce my new book,
Saved by a deer, published by @lebledsoloviev

This collection of photographs and poems is my heartfelt love letter to the island region I call home.
Three years ago I took a leap of faith and moved to a small island in British Columbia, following an an instinctive need to be in nature to heal from feelings of depression.
I started this project with a scientific approach, the intent was to document how daily exposure to nature can affect my mental well-being and my perception of the outside world.

During my time living here I have been writing, taking photos of all the places and activities that make my heart sing such as harvesting seaweed,
cold water plunging and forest bathing. Constantly trying to find myself in these landscapes, my attempt is both physical and psychological.

Looking back I feel that I captured the feral childhood I wished I had and an intimate connection to nature I deeply crave.
