Metamorphosis is now out. You can watch it on YouTube with the link included or own it digitally via the CinemaUnlit Gumroad store.

This film was originally made during my junior year at DePaul University, and while I’m still waiting on a some end of year festivals, I figured I’d just put it out because I have a couple other projects nearing completion. This film was such a fun experience to make, and I’m super grateful for everyone who helped make this possible. I’m especially grateful for my producer team @gabrielledacuycuy @denis.gjoni_ @slaglebag3l & @tanja.mey for their help bringing this from script to life, my DP and now assistant mayor of New York @charleyeagle and my brother and magnificent first AD and filmmaker @liam.baldwins. Of course this film would not have been made at all if my older brother @valentinsandoval25 didn’t spend time helping me write this in the spare bedroom of my ion apartment, and it was one of the most fun writing experiences I’ve had and we used a whiteboard and everything. If you were on set or helped by donating, I love you and thank you for giving me your time and confidence in this weird movie.

Please give it a watch if you’re interested.

While Smithy and From Then To Now are still in Post, and Metamorphosis is still waiting on some replies, I have to release something or I’ll go crazy inside. The trailer for The Visit, releasing on June 1st. My love note to David Lynch and Twin Peaks. #twinpeaks #davidlynch #washington by @shadunkfi

Some stills from my short film “The Visit” shot in March when @thisistherealvickykrol and I went to Washington. The film follows a would be author visiting the town where her grandmother vanished from one day. It’s my tribute to Twin Peaks as well lol. Shot by me on @lumix camera and lenses , colored by me.

BETTER APART
A new film by @shadunkfi and @liam.baldwins as a part of the @joelhaver Shoot A Movie During The Oscars Challenge.

Entirely improv, it was shot in 3.5 hours on Saturday March 14th 2026 and edited over the course of the week. We shot with two crews simultaneously in separate locations eventually meeting as one large crew for the second half resulting in multiple portions being presented in split screen. We hope you enjoy!

It releases later tonight, March 20th. by @shadunkfi

I haven’t seen the show but @saraitzelbeltran @sopadefideoconpollo made t shirts for heated rivalry and sent me one. It didn’t fit me :( so I asked @thisistherealvickykrol to model it. Fits styled by me.

Thank you to @mishkaframes for helping out and taking some film photos and thank you to @sosasnapshots for taking some BTS and lending a hand. by @shadunkfi

On October 17th, from 5:30-7:30, there will be a special private screening of the film Metamorphosis , written by Valentin Sandoval and Mathew Sharifi, directed by Mathew Sharifi.

The film follows Harry as he reflects on his relationship while his partner is away on a work trip. Alongside the film , a companion piece titled “Harry’s Head” will be screened alongside a slew of selected teasers for upcoming projects from Chicago filmmakers I admire and look up to.

If you are free and would like to attend, please RSVP using the link in my bio or on my story. I’d love to see you there! Thank you.
