My big cousin Reet 🌹, I’ve been deep in my feelings about you. I couldn’t wait to be like you when I got older, you were everything to me. Since the day you left us, I’ve been going down a rabbit hole, trying to make sense of it all. Some days, I find peace knowing you’re no longer in pain, but most of the time, I’m just frustrated &’ confused because why you? I keep thinking about all the should’ve, would’ve, could’ve moments, &’ it’s been eating me up. I wish we could go back to the old days, living in the same house, you just a room away. I’m gonna miss you trying to teach me how to dance, playing dress up &’ the way you always had my back when it came to my bullies. I hate that life pulled us in different directions over the years, but no matter what my love for you was always there. Now, all I have are the memories, &’ I swear I’ll cherish them forever. Thinking about the good times makes me smile &’ cry at the same time, but more than anything, I’m just grateful I got to experience you. I can’t wait until we meet again.
