Tell me about despair and, I will tell you mine
Where hopes and dreams can never die
In a moment in time where souls collide
Rare to most where the common look
Common to look, but most rare by @shak__mo

Recently I’ve been thinking about my life as if it were the Japanese version of Manchester by the Sea.
Capturing raw moments of chaotic nothingness, no dialogue, just stillness where heavy thoughts and feelings are left unsaid.

As if sonder was a secret nightmare, creeping up waiting to implode on false familiarity. To cleanse the pallet of flashed memories and the emotions that came with them. by @shak__mo

The Commission on the Status of Women is an annual meeting of Member States at the United Nations, for the sole purpose of working on gender equality and women’s rights.

Gender Equality is of course an issue that’s deeply rooted in the heart of everything I do. From all the work you see here to creating Gender Equality Index’ and writing Articles at Uni critically evaluating strategies in Developing countries.

❗️Want to get involved? Hurry- there’s still time to sign up: Application close on 26th Feb

Moments from September

✈️Travelling to Belfast 🇮🇪🇪🇺 to meet my amazing colleagues from the @youngeuromove @jef_ireland and witness the official signing of their exciting partnership. This was my first form of European engagement, I certainly gained a very insightful introduction through engaging with 4 Political Parties, a Senator and members of European Parliament!

🎉👏🏾Celebrating the success of our amazing CEO Sophie Daud @ukfutureleaders & catching up with my colleagues from the Y7 Delegation back in 2020/21.

🗣️🎤Speaking to locals in my area on Youth Democracy & Civic Participation- reading all these post it notes filled with Young People’s hopes, fears, aspirations and challenges was a deep reminder on why I do all of this in the first place 💭✍🏾.

🌊📚Settling back into University life, getting stuck in some extra reading for my favourite module- East Asian States & Societies.

👏🏾As always, very grateful to all my wonderful colleagues & friends- to those that have stuck around in the journey and to the new relationships I’ve made🤝. by @shak__mo
