WOW WHAT A NIGHT, WHAT A WEEKEND!!!
Aus Dancehall Fest 2026

Thank you @aus_dhfest & @sydneydancehallcommunity for putting in the work to create this event that was pure magic from start to finish!! ✨️✨️✨️

So much work and so much preparation.
I entered 2 categories Solo & Queen.
Although I wasn’t really nervous leading up to the comp, just before going on stage, the nerves started to come on and I blanked on some important sections and timing of the routine. Queen round was better and having been on the stage once already, I was more confident and grounded in my routine and thankfully didn't blank!! Haha

I was really upset after the event that I didn't get through to the next round for either category.

But here's what I've realised:
There is a huge amount of energy that sweeps over you when you enter a stage in a setting such as this, the crowd is chearing you on, you are up there all alone, its a competition and its your time to shine and show everyone your work and what you have created!
You've put so much work in, it can feel like there's a lot at stake.

Staying grounded, poised and owning that stage and the crowd while not rushing your routine, is a REAL skill!! It is hard to do especially if you're not used to it.

The Calibre of dancers was SO HIGH on this night that I honestly just feel honoured to have been on the same stage as these other AMAZING dancers!!

Shout out to all the competitors, YOU DID THAT!!
👊👊👊🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

And thank you to the AMAZING judges!!
KIMIKO VERSATILE, MAYA SHERIDAN & KITTY KAT
What an honour and a pinical moment in my my life to be judged by these beautiful, amazing and STRONG women who are true IDOLS!!
