I’m a little late but Day 2… 🥹

Melissa @bradleyml had us on the edge of our seats and close to pulling our edges out!

We worked on analyzing and implementing strategies that will stop us from being “busy” to being productive and profitable.

We focused on OKR’s and leveraging our SWOT (business and personal) and had so many coming to Jesus moments both collectively and individually.

One thing I really enjoyed throughout Day 2 was the constant check-ins and simply asking the question..

“How are you feeling?”

May times you don’t focus on how you’re feeling until you’re burnt out, maybe I’m speaking for myself with this one but it really took conscious effort to think about how I was feeling because we are so programmed to DO!

Quotable Takeaway Day 2:

1️⃣There is nothing that is profitable that is comfortable.

2️⃣ Value doesn’t have to be big it needs to be meaningful to your client.

3️⃣ Be willing to hear people say no and not take it personal.

4️⃣ Don’t be fearful but it’s ok to be afraid. Fear paralyzes. Afraid is ‘I know it’s going to be hard but I got this.’

5️⃣ Being successful is not about doing everything it’s about doing the right things.

6️⃣ Get comfortable with shining and not feeling the need to dim your light!

One thing I forgot to mention is understanding where they fall in the priority line up — for example, I’m a mother 24/7, but I lend my focus, expertise, and time to my work because in addition to providing a living for us, it fuels me, and feeds my ambition.

Gratitude beyond measure ☀️

Motherhood didn’t ask me to shrink my ambition, and ambition never asked me to love Sunny any less. She gets to watch me build, dream, and show up fully, because I refuse to pour everything into one account of my life while the rest go bankrupt. Been there, done that, and I won’t be going back!

I’m learning to steward six: Self. Sunny(Children). Marriage. Finances. Work/Creative. Community. Six accounts, one whole life, and investing in all of them isn’t extra, it’s the assignment. It’s stewardship

Day 2: Started with a private tour of the @louisvuitton warehouse, a rare chance to see what’s behind the veil.

We got back to the hotel with just enough time to wind down before act two: a yacht watch party for the 2027 @louisvuitton fashion show. And in true @pharrell fashion, the show over-exceeded expectations.

There’s a saying — “don’t bring sand to the beach.” He brought all of Virginia Beach with him to Paris.

The yacht experience was very intentional, it was a “let your hair down” moment for our founders, who spent that day and the one before being reminded of what’s possible. A chance to breathe, take it all in, and get ready to strategize for the days, weeks, and months ahead.

A little over two weeks ago, @blackambitionprize hosted our 2026 Learning Labs in partnership with @louisvuitton and @lvmh in Paris, France 🇫🇷

Day one kicked off with a private dinner at the Louis Vuitton family mansion, and honestly, as the Program Manager who watch programs grow from ideas and spreadsheets into moments like this, it was surreal to stand there and see it all come to life.

We were welcomed at the hotel with gifts from the Louis Vuitton and LVMH teams, including an exclusive bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne, created in partnership with our founder, @pharrell .

As always, the vibes were immaculate. It was so good to see all of our 2025 Prize winners in one room again and to reconnect with our partners at Louis Vuitton.

The evening started with a private tour of the family mansion and a brief lesson on the history and legacy of Louis Vuitton and the family, including a look at how their artisans craft and package each piece by hand.

After that, we broke bread, shared stories, laughed, and braced ourselves for a whirlwind of a week ahead 🥂 taken in Paris, France by @shakeiakeglergray

When your team is fully remote, moments like this hit different, the conversations flow easier, the laughs are louder, and you actually get to share what’s been going on in your life beyond the work.

We flew to Paris for @blackambitionprize Learning Labs in partnership with @louisvuitton | @lvmh , what an experience!

In true fashion, we also enjoyed our moments away from the work together.

#TBT — I get to do some amazing things in support of entrepreneurs at my job with @blackambitionprize , and this CPG Dinner was special.

Just before going on maternity leave last year, we partnered with Retail Buddy on an event that put our founders in direct connection with experienced buyers, retail companies, and experts built for them — from financial specialists in CPG brands to data analysts and more.

As a founder, access was something I longed for. Now I get to make sure our founders have it.
