Nothing says summer like a little Shakespeare Al Fresco - join us Friday at 6 pm or Saturday at 2 pm at the Village Green for our 5th Annual Ren Week production!! This is honestly one of our favorite weeks of the year - it’s so much fun gathering with our dedicated and passionate teen ensemble on Monday, knowing that by some miracle and a LOT of hard work, we’ll have a full show by Friday! Full details can be found at the link in the profile. #summershakespeare #midsummernightsdream #bringthekids #summerinlosangeles taken in Village Green, Los Angeles by @shakesyouth

We still have a few more spaces left in Summer with SYF - what better way to spend a week!! Our Players have so much fun exploring the characters of Shakespeare that they don’t even realize they are expanding their vocabulary, building literacy, strengthening their self-efficacy and critical thinking skills, and practicing collaboration! #summercamp #shakespeare #lasummercamp #summercamp2026☀️ [link in bio] taken in Los Angeles, California by @shakesyouth

The curtain has fallen on Shakespeare Youth Festival LA 2026 - what a season it was!! Our Teen Rep ensemble did a stunning job with “Cymbeline” and “Romeo and Juliet” and our youth cast (for many, this was their first Festival) blew us away with “Comedy of Errors.” We were thrilled to welcome a group of 40 high school students from Bravo Medical Magnet to our final R&J production, and hope to have a school at every performance next year. Huge thanks to @hudsontheatres for giving our Players a place to play! Next up - Summer with SYF! To support us in all these endeavors, please visit the link in our profile to donate - these are scary times for nonprofits, and we are determined to keep our programs accessible! Any donation, large or small, helps keep our scrappy organization going - “We may be little, but we are fierce!!” Thank you to @rockmegalileo for these gorgeous photos!! #shakespeare #supportyoutharts #cymbeline #romeoandjuliet #comedyoferrors taken in The Hudson Theatres by @shakesyouth

Shakespeare Youth Festival 2026 opens February 28 with Cymbeline & Romeo and Juliet. CYMBELINE - Can’t decide which is your favorite Shakespearean plot device? We’ve got ‘em all! Mistaken identities and secret marriages; banishment and betrayal, long-lost siblings; potions, prophecies, and divine intervention; murder, war … and a happy ending that ties up almost all the loose ends! ROMEO & JULIET - A long-simmering feud between two rival families comes to a boil when young Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet try to step across the line drawn in the sand. One of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, no matter how many times we see it, we still hold out hope that this time it will end differently. Next up - Comedy of Errors opens March 14!! Buy your tickets today! (link in bio) #cymbeline #romeojuliet #shakespeare #itsfuntododifficultthings #repertorytheatre taken in The Hudson Theatres by @shakesyouth
