I had to make a decision:

Do I want the temporary satisfaction of distractions, or the long-term satisfaction of becoming the man I know I’m capable of becoming?

When I came to Arizona, I knew one thing: I wasn’t going to stay the same.

That meant sacrificing things I enjoyed—going out, relationships, distractions, missing the gym—and becoming obsessive about my personal development.

One of the biggest things business taught me is that not everything deserves a reaction.

When I was younger, I thought standing my ground meant responding to everything I disagreed with. As I’ve gotten older, built a business, and surrounded myself with people who think bigger, I’ve realized that emotional control is a form of strength.

You don’t have to like everything. You don’t have to agree with everyone. And you definitely don’t have to react to everything.

Most people think the biggest advantage in this business is having a good product.

It’s not.

It’s having the ability to create your own opportunities.

You don’t have to sit around waiting for a company to hand you leads.

You don’t have to build your business by calling every friend and family member you have.

You can learn how to market yourself, generate your own leads, build your own pipeline, and create more opportunities to sell.

That changes the game.

Because when you can control where your opportunities come from, you’re not limited to what someone else decides to give you.
