Happy Friday! I'll be celebrating my Valentines Day ❤ today cause baby, I have to work bright and early on Monday and ain't nobody got time for that. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I am 2 weeks post on my starter microlocs. (2 strand twists) Of course it's way early in the process so it's still looking like "loose hair" and probably will for a long time. Excited to see what changes time will bring!

This next phase of my life is dedicated to doing it anyway. ❤️

Doing it nervous. Doing it scared. Doing it unsure of myself. Doing it while my mind gives me 47 perfectly reasonable reasons why maybe I should just stay home. 😂

Last night I got the opportunity to meet an Instagram friend in person for the very first time while she was in town celebrating her birthday. Not only was I meeting her for the first time, but I was also walking into a dinner with a group of people I'd never met before.
And whew...the old me could've found a million reasons not to go. 🫣

But I'm learning that courage doesn't always feel courageous. Sometimes it just looks like getting dressed, getting in the car, and showing up while you're still nervous. 🫠 Lol

So I went.
And I'm SO glad I did. ❤️
We clicked instantly, talked about all things content creation, laughed, and probably could've talked all night. I had such a beautiful time meeting her and everyone else!

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I got another little piece of evidence about myself:
I can meet new people at 42.
I can walk into rooms where I don't know anyone.
I am worth inviting.
My presence adds something.
And I don't have to wait until I'm no longer afraid to participate in my own life.

Being nervous and still going.
Being uncertain and still trying.
Being afraid and still letting life meet me there anyway.
Because I'm starting to realize that some of the most beautiful experiences of my life may be waiting behind a door that fear told me not to open. ❤️

6. Single leg kickbacks 4×10

Finish it off with a 1 mile incline treadmill walk. 🚶🏽‍♀️
