how to set up your 2023 bujo!

ok so to break it down, these are the spreads I made in order:
1. calendar for the year - because it looks pretty but it also makes setting up monthly spreads easier
2. reading list/tracker - because I love reading! I had this spread for 2022 but only made it a one page and ran out of space. I also thought it would be fun to keep track of my ratings for them too
3. work out tracker - I’ve been doing this every year since 2019! I usually try to hit each major muscle group once a week (or once every 2 weeks lol 😩😬) but it’s hard to remember what work outs I’ve done when I go to the gym … so that’s basically why I keep making it 😂
4. meditation tracker - first time I’m doing this! tbh just needed something to fill in an extra page and couldn’t think of anything else haha
5. year at a glance / schedules - because I set up each week / month at a time, it can be hard to keep track of events that are scheduled much later in the year. I use these spreads to keep track of those events and transfer to monthly logs when I’m setting those up. ib @doestudies from several years ago!

things I did not include but might be helpful to you:
- symbol legend - can be helpful for first time bujo-ers. I know what symbols I like to use since this is my 5th (I think) year of bujo-ing so i don’t need it anymore
- grid spacing cheat sheet / legend to break down how to split a page into halves, thirds, quarters - helpful when you’re using a new type of journal! I’ve been using @archerandolive since 2020 so I’ve kind of memorized how to do this on my own (I’m a stationery nerd 🤓)

if this was helpful for you, please make sure to save this post for later! there are countless other spreads you could do, but these are what work for me. I’ll also post a carousel of this later :)

look at who made her monthly spreads on time (it’s me 🙋🏽‍♀️)

this is pretty similar to my January set up because I really like pink & floral patterns. I also like the idea of my whole bujo having an underlying consistent theme 🌸 how do you plan your bujo spreads? by @shalistudies

its finally march! (it really felt like february would never end 😶) so here’s my entire monthly spread set up! i still included a thing for the books i’ve read/want to read even though i only read one book in feb 🫣 i usually hit my reading slump in june so this is mildly concerning 🙃 have you read any good books lately?? taken in Toronto, Ontario by @shalistudies
