You already know where this is going. 😂🍷

Coffee and tea are lovely. But have you seen the wine list?

Turns out, my favorite hobby comes by the glass. 🍷

A little wine tasting, a little exploring, and always something new to discover.

What’s your go-to hobby?

We had the pleasure of serving The Allied For Community Business event at The Hatchery for an incredible evening celebrating the legacy of community and the amazing local businesses.

As longtime members, Allied For Community Businesses has been a meaningful part of Shall We Wine’s journey — helping us connect, grow, and continue building our business.

We’re so grateful to be part of this community. Here’s to continuing to grow, support one another, and create something amazing together! 🍷❤️

The belly (of this wine) is round and supple. Dare I call it Smooth.

It carries all the joys of the color red: ripe cherries, cold beets in July, perfectly painted lips and nails.

It snatches attention - a tailored dress on a sculpted body.

Red enclosed in onyx - not the forbobing blackness but the covering type - where facial expressions are hidden so vulnerability is safe.

Midnight in your bedroom black. Sun loved skin black.

The black of those cherry pits, licorice sticks- sole of reliable shoes.

Full piece (and the rest of the story) will@be posted my Substack, link in bio.

Me: I’m having a terrible day.
Also me: 🍷

Honestly, sometimes you just need a glass and five minutes to yourself.

High-altitude Sauvignon Blanc that sings.

The 2024 “Vette” from San Leonardo brings mountain freshness, floral lift, and a clean, mineral finish that makes every sip feel like a breeze through the Alps.

This wine is proof that elegance and energy can coexist in one glass.

Every bottle of this sparkling wine sends $10 to cancer research. And it happens to be one of the most beautiful Blanc de Blancs I've poured this year.

The label was created by New York illustrator John Donohue. The winery was built on five generations of Sonoma roots. And the woman behind it — CEO Sarah Citron — fought Stage 3 breast cancer and came out the other side with a movement: Sip With Purpose.

After 13 years of doing this, we know a wine with purpose when we taste one. Bricoleur Vineyards Limited Edition Blanc de Blancs: green apple, lemon meringue, toasted almond, white peach, brioche, passion fruit, and honeysuckle on the finish. 100% Russian River Valley Chardonnay.

Taste good. Feel good. Do good 🍾

This isn’t just another Malbec—this is Bramare.

In this episode of Five Sips Deep, we dive into the 2022 Bramare Malbec from Luján de Cuyo, Argentina.

It’s bold, polished, and expressive, with mountain-grown fruit and a refined structure that tells the story of place and passion.

No, I didn’t taste it with Paul Hobbs himself—but his vision is in every drop.

I brought two reds to WGN this week. One costs $75. One costs $29.

Freemark Abbey Cabernet has 140 years of Napa history behind it, started by one of California's first female vintners. CUNE Reserva has been in the same family since 1879, still led by a woman carrying that tradition forward.

Both belong on your table. Price doesn't decide the occasion, you do.

I brought four "hidden gem" wines to WGN this week, and paired every single one with a Chicago classic.

Villa Matilde Falanghina, 2024, from Campania, Italy ($25), next to a Chicago hot dog, mustard and relish required.

Castell d'Age 'Anne Marie' Cava Rosé, an organic, biodynamic Pinot Noir from Penedès, Spain ($24), next to Italian beef with giardiniera.

Bezel Chardonnay, 2023, from California's SLO Coast ($24), paired with deep dish.

French Flair Languedoc Red "The Radiant," 2023, a Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre blend from France ($15), also paired with deep dish.

You don't need a big name region or a big price tag to find a wine worth pouring again. Every bottle here is under $25 and from a region that doesn't get enough credit.
