SpeakYOU isn’t about teaching women to perform confidence. It’s about helping them develop the inner trust and practical speaking skills to express who they are, communicate what they know, and take their place in the world.

Why is SpeakYOU a rite of passage and not just a program?
Speaking up is about so much more than presentation skills. For a lot of us it means facing the fear of being seen, the voice that says “who do you think you are?” and years of making ourselves smaller to stay comfortable
.
Doing it anyway is brave work. So we take our time. No quick fix, no tick a box training.

You, a room of women who get it, and your voice getting stronger.

We bring together the inner work of becoming visible with the actual craft of speaking.
Coaching, reflective and therapeutic work, actor led performance techniques, practical presentation skills and business coaching. Knowing your stuff and being able to communicate it with presence, clarity and impact are what we are teaching you.

You practice in a safe space USING your voice. We work on your message, your delivery, your relationship with being seen, and ultimately you stand up and deliver your own TEDx style talk to an invited audience. Once you have done that, you can speak to anyone and say size audience.

Two weekends at Boconnoc Estate in Cornwall, weekly online training, 1:1 coaching support and in between:
January: Fri 8th to Sun 10th, from 4pm
March: Fri 19th to Sun 21st, from 4pm

SpeakYOU27 We inspire women to speak and express their GOLD!Written by my right hand woman and SpeakYOU coach Tara Ellis.💫⚡️💋

My dear best friend Anna Lempriere is all about the kindness, always has been, always will be. Anna used to threaten to make t-shirts with the slogan “it’s cool to be kind”, years later someone else used it and made prints. We met when we were 18 at Drama School. A.L.R.A, The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (to be spoken in the style of Sir Lawrence Olivier). There was something about her, maybe it was the way she would make up strange little ditties, (“Have You Heard About The Eyelash, The Eyelash?”) was a particular favourite, her courage and ability to dive in, or perhaps it was her penchant for telling random strangers that she loved them? I just knew she was the one for me!
My opportunity arose when we were sent to the office together. Knowing Anna was a vegan, I enthralled her by regurgitating, pretty much word for word a documentary I’d seen about cheetah’s! Vegan? Love for animals?…Cheetah’s!…You see my Segway? As the years passed we found ways to work together. Devising and creating theatre, working for themed party companies (tarot reading, Candy floss/popcorn/donut makers, tequila girls and meet and greet Hula dancers (wearing grass skirts and literal coconuts as bras!). Anna started working for a coaching company in the corporate world & went on to get her own contract devising SpeakYOU. I witnessed her change…driven, confident without losing her deep reverence, kindness & ridiculously irreverent humour, often leaving me in stitches.
When Anna asked me to join her at SpeakYOU, I jumped, Feeling like the work we do is of immense value, witnessing the lives of hundreds of women change before our eyes. Being loved opens us up like flowers ~ Women finding resources, the gold, the buried treasure within ourselves. Confidence & importantly tools to share treasure with the world. This all comes from the love that Anna has poured into this program and the love every cohort is held. Anna & I talk about the lack of compassion presenting itself at the moment, making the work of SpeakYOU more important.

As a facilitator, she empowers people to spread their own magic in their working lives. She believes we all have a unique story to tell, and through performance technique and coaching, she helps her clients bring originality to their work. Between us, we have lived on stages, in therapy rooms, in corporate boardrooms, in retreat spaces and in the wild.

What a magical journey our SpeakYOU26 was at Boconnoc- we always have such great love & learnings, growing healing and fire! EMPOWERING Women to speak is one of the most life enhancing experiences of my life. It’s such a joy to learn from these talented women- each talk we learn from the expert!

We are also now creating a speakYOU online community platform so afterwards we can continue to grow together.

SpeakYOU began with a miraculous kickoff, with the full moon - the last one of a nine years cycle🌕 along with Imbolc- Spring, it really set the scene for this big immense journey and a possibility of great shifts. We are taking eight women from all different areas of working life through the eye of a needle! It is a reckoning of self, we can see SpeakYOU as public speaking of course and yet it is so much more, we get to ask ourselves the big questions like who am I and what holds me back from truly fully actualising. Our voice is a huge expression of that, what we talk about, how we express ourselves and the work that we do, with the life that we lead is the cornerstone especially for creatives, entrepreneurs,founders, business owners, women working in charities & in corporate we all need to step up and share our wisdom and gold.The journey it has just begun. They will come back to Boconnoc at the end of March to give their TED style talk style to an invited audience watch this space!
