Sometimes a child doesn’t need another explanation. They simply need another way to SEE what we’re trying to teach them.

As parents and educators, learning to recognize these moments can make a meaningful difference in how we approach teaching.

A simple visual, demonstration, picture, or example may be exactly what helps a difficult concept finally make sense.

Remember, effective teaching isn’t about putting children into learning-style boxes. It’s about understanding their needs and being willing to adjust our approach.

Don’t label the child. Learn the child. ❤️

I’m really excited about this because teaching, encouraging families, helping parents build confidence, and finding ways to make learning fun has always been such a big part of who I am. 📚🍎✏️

So I’m starting to share more of that through The Fun Learning Zone.

I’m gonna be talking about learning, behavior, communication, development, homeschool support, teaching strategies, fun learning ideas, and just different ways that we can better understand the children in front of us.

One of the biggest things I want parents to know is that you are more capable than you think you are. You have already been teaching your child from the very beginning, even if you didn’t realize it.

Sometimes we just need encouragement. Sometimes we need another way to look at something. Sometimes we need another way to teach it.

And that’s really what I want The Fun Learning Zone to be.

A place where parents, teachers, homeschool families, caregivers, grandparents, aunties, uncles — anybody helping a child learn and grow — can come and feel encouraged, equipped, and reminded that you can do this.

WHEW… God has been BLOWING MY MIND!!😭🙌🏽♥️

I had the honor of being in the room with some phenomenal educators at the 7 Figure Educator Conference, learning, growing, and making connections I never could have imagined.

I mean, only God could have opened this door for me to be in this room.😭🙌🏽♥️

I walked away with so much knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration. I’m still so speechless and this was weeks ago.😅

I’m just so incredibly grateful for every opportunity, every connection, and every door God is opening for me.

I was up well after midnight thinking about just how much Jesus loves US. 🥹♥️

And I just wanted to remind somebody that you are not too far gone, too broken, or too lost for the love of Jesus to reach you.

No matter where you are or what you’ve been through, His love is greater.

What if the thing you keep asking them to stop doing could actually become part of the lesson? ❤️

Some children need more than an explanation.

They need to touch it.
Move it.
Build it.
Sort it.
Create it.
DO it.

Sometimes we get so focused on getting a child to look like they’re learning that we miss the way they may actually be connecting with the lesson.

This is not about putting children into boxes.

It’s about building our teaching toolbox and learning what helps the child in front of us understand.

Whether you’re expecting, parenting an infant, raising a toddler, homeschooling a preschooler, or teaching early elementary, there are learning opportunities all around you.

Keep observing. Keep adjusting. Keep encouraging.

You CAN do this.

Have you ever said something to a child two, three, four times and thought, “I know you heard me!” 😩😂

Whether you’re parenting a toddler, teaching preschool or Pre-K, homeschooling, working with kindergarteners, or teaching in a classroom… I get it. Repeating yourself over and over can be frustrating.

But sometimes the issue isn’t that the child isn’t listening.

Sometimes they may need to hear the information differently.

They may need you to talk it through with them.
Let them repeat it back.
Turn it into a conversation.
Use a rhyme, a song, or a little repetition.
Let them ask questions and explain it in their own words.

Sometimes all that talking we want them to stop doing is actually giving us a clue about how they’re processing what they’re learning. 👂

And I want to encourage you too, if you’ve been frustrated, that does not mean you’re doing a bad job. Sometimes we just need another approach.

That’s what I want to help you with here at The Fun Learning Zone, practical ways to better understand the child in front of you so you can teach with more confidence and make learning feel a little easier for both of you.

Keep observing. Keep adjusting. Keep encouraging.
