This week marks my third anniversary at the Bata Shoe Museum, but today also marks my last day.

Over the past three years, I've been given the opportunity to grow, to rise, and to try new, exciting, and sometimes slightly crazy ideas. I am beyond grateful for the experiences I've had and for the people who believed in me along the way. I've had the privilege of working under leaders—not just bosses—who have shaped not only the museum professional I am today, but also the person I hope to become.

My time here has launched my career in ways I could never have imagined, and for that, I will always be thankful.

While I'm excited for the opportunities ahead, I'm also incredibly sad to be leaving behind some of the most talented coworkers and dear friends who supported me and my wild ideas from day one. It wasn't always easy, and like any workplace, there were moments of friction, but through it all, I knew I could count on the people around me—and I hope they knew they could count on me, too.

Turning the page and starting a new chapter is never easy, but I leave this one with immense gratitude and look ahead with excitement for what's next.

Thank you, Bata Shoe Museum, for an unforgettable three years. ❤️ #Farewell #NewChapter by @shan.fernando

Oh, so @rbc wants to know what kind of @shaniatwain fan I am?! Well BUCKLE UP. I've loved Shania's music since I was a kid, especially after the release of her 'Up!' Album. After she returned to music, my friend Carly and I saved up for a year and saw her in Vegas, being invited up yo sing with her! It was honestly one of the best nights of my life. I've seen her on tour many times, from Boots and Hearts and Beyond, I even made momento cards to share with fans at her last show! She's my queen, an idol, and a true hometown hero. Now, let's see if I win these tickets!!!! #shaniaxrbc #ShaniaTwain #GiddyUp by @shan.fernando

Here it is! The list no one asked for lol, my top 10 concerts of 2025! These are in no particular order, except for number one. It would have taken a lot to top that concert for me haha. Who was in your top concerts of 2025?! A big shout out to my concert buddy @carrgaas for constantly going into Ticketmaster wars, and winning! This list would be nothing without you!

Closing a show is never easy, and this one was exceptionally hard. I'm so thankful and grateful to have stepped on stage with such an incredible cast and crew. My first leading role in a full musical was certainly a special one. Thank you so much to @marqueetp for providing us a space to create and to @kpdohotmail.com_ for allowing is the opportunity to play and grow. To the Christmas Carol cast, I love you with my whole heart. God bless us everyone! #Theatre #AChristmasCarol #Sad #Reflection #TillWeMeetAgain by @shan.fernando
