still struggling to put this weekend with @essence into words.

I had the opportunity to manage the ESSENCE social channels during the ESSENCE Festival of Culture. There’s something fulfilling about working for a publication I’ve long revered—a platform that tells our stories. A love letter to those I hold in highest regard—black women.

It’s the people that truly make this weekend special. It’s the huddles amongst brilliant black creatives. The quick pivots that result in something great. The culmination of unique perspectives to tell one story—ours. A million pieces of content couldn’t accurately capture the magic of ESSENCE Fest.

Super grateful to the team for trusting my work & allowing me to be a part of something so integral to the culture.

In Good Taste is equal parts experience, intuition, and obsession.

An accumulation of years spent studying culture, building brands, curating creative, and understanding what makes people connect.

It’s my perspective on marketing, storytelling, and creating work that’s as thoughtful as it is impactful—all rooted in good taste. by @shandinx
