Lots of work still needing to be done but inching closer and closer to this MONSTER coming alive!

Currently needing to finish welding the engine bay and weld up the many holes to make a nice smooth clean shaved engine bay. Then get a custom made downpipe and intercooler piping. Then off to paint with a few more surprises along the way 😁😁!

Been 3 years in the making thus far, hoping to be finished a year from now the absolute latest.

Made a trip down memory lane this last weekend! 20 years ago I graduated High School which over 10 years ago turned into @sinaguamiddleschool. I wanted to take the GT3 here and get pictures to remind myself of the journey, hard work and sacrifice it took for me to acheive my dreams. I was not the smartest kid in the classroom as was overlooked in many areas of my life. I always knew I would achieve my goals it was just a matter of when not if. To me this picture is self gratification that I did it! 8 years later than I set out to acheive it but still got there!

The pictures @sonicdrivein @flagstaff_arizona is also symbolic. I used to go there pretty much every Friday night from 2001 to 2008. It was the car hangout in Flagstaff along with @originalgalaxydiner. In 2001 to 2005 I took my 1980 chevy C10 that my dad and I put a built V8 in. Also had 2 10" Diamond subwoofers and Rockford Amp. The built motor blew up when I was racing a 69' Chevelle. After that I saved all of my hard earned money bagging groceries in the summer and saved up for a V8 crate motor. Shortly after the built motor blew up my stereo was stolen at my parents house. We heard someone might be wanting to steal it so we put it in the garage when we went to vacation. When we got back it was gone. They broke into the garage and got the stereo. I was able to save up again and get a replacement stereo eventually. I still have this truck today with the same crate motor and stereo.

In 2006 I bought my Cobalt SS and that was a huge accomplishment for me. I would take it to sonic and go racing. I learned how to autox and road race in that car and touge up the local snowbowl 7 mile rd.

So although these pictures may be weird to some, it signifies my journey and where I was to what I get to call reality now.

Don't give up and keep pursuing your dreams! BTW I'm not done 👊!!

Throwback to the R33 being tracked @optimabatteries ultimate street car invitational in 2012 @springmountainmotorsports raceway! This was right after a week of being displayed at SEMA! Car was being piloted by my dad @backyardgarage1 .

Unfortunately we had an early exit in the competition due to a blown turbo oil return line and we didn't have the parts to fix it.

Can't wait to get this beast running again and back out on a track.

I used to never be a Porsche fan because of the way they looked. I felt they all looked the same and they didn't stand out like a Ferrari or Lambo. I had also never driven one.

That all I changed after I took everyone's word on how the car performs. Having almost pulled the trigger on a F430, I changed my mind and took the risk on the GT3.

Best decision ever! Within the first 5 minutes of driving it, everything came true, all the reviews and discussions on the handling, performance and refinement were more than true. Car is truly insane!

Not to mention the reliability is second to none! Aside from the normal maintenance of fluids and brake pads, only spark plugs is a regular maintenance item up to 200k.

The car exceeded my expectations, and the thing I was hating on most about, it's looks, is the best now because it's not a flashy car, and those that know, know 👊.

Delivery day!!! Excited to bring home my fully built RB25det which now has a full 2.8L @nittoperformanceengineering stroker kit!

All the goodies are on this build and I am looking forward to see how much power it will put down!

Still tons of work to do as I am fully shaving and painting the engine bay before dropping this in.

But motivation has set in 👌

In 2010 when this motor was first built I never saw engines and piping powder coated white. So I decided then to go with white and keeping true to it 13 years later!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

Can't wait for this finished product on this RB25det which is now a RB28det with all the Nitto goodies!!

I cannot wait for the engine bay to be shaved and painted with this beast looking proper and standing out!
