Green lynx spider (Peucetia viridans) on a white bloom — a venomous ambush predator positioned where pollinators are most active, using speed rather than webs to capture prey.
Forward-facing chelicerae and fangs deliver a rapid venom strike, while the spined legs anchor and control prey in close quarters.

Costa Rica rainforest encounter — Montezuma.

Orb-weaver spiders are masters of web building, spinning the classic circular webs seen throughout tropical forests. These webs are often rebuilt nightly and are designed to trap flying insects.
Their venom is used to subdue prey but they are harmless to people.

The Northern Lights - not spectacular by any means but that is what we saw. The weather dictates viewing.
