It's getting ridiculous 👇🏾

I do my makeup for fun on my content creator account (@caribbean_diamond971 take a look 😉)
and that has saved me from embarrassment so many times because most of the time on shoots, no one knows how to properly do darker complexions.

Makeup schools in my city are not innovating and learning more about different skin tones (don't get me started on Asian skin 🙄). Same old techniques and only ONE DAY for non white skin tones in a whole academic year 🤯 to add insult to injury, those same students don't seek out improvement by looking for said ethnic models.

If I'm ever called on for a shoot my most important question is "who's the MUA?" I look them up and 8/10, there's no one that looks like me in the posts. I politely decline and offer to do it myself. It's a safer option but I don't get the luxury of focusing only on the shoot.

So far, there's only one person that I trust my face with for a shoot and had an amazing experience with (she's become my friend too). Otherwise, I will try to work with MUAs that look like me. It's unfortunate but that's how it is.

If you don't see yourself represented in this industry yet, that's not the end of the story. It's where you start writing it.

Fashion said there's no room ? My culture said otherwise.

Curve model, Europe. My dress is proof there's room in this industry for every body and every heritage. This isn't a trend, this is where I'm from.

Nothing is stopping this motion 👇🏾

Big girls are hot, capable, stylish and deserve to be on billboards. That's why I'm going against the grain and became a plus size model in of all places, EUROPE (France, to be exact 😅😂)

I've been on set as a plus size model and getting my photo taken for over 2 years now and I don't see why I would stop now when it's just getting good. I manifest and pray for opportunities with photographers, videographers, makeup artists/MUAH, brands, agencies, freelancers, YOU NAME IT. My network is only getting bigger and my life is getting fuller ❤️

If versatility was a person ✨

With more than two years of experience, I can say that I've learned a lot as a plus size model. I learnt how to pose, what's best to wear for digitals, looking for the next creator meet up in order to network and get some modelling jobs,... Europe, especially France (based in Lyon working in Paris and available internationally) is a tough country for the plus size community but not impossible.

Signing an international agency is the goal for 2027 and get more visibility on my platforms 😉

I'm the kind of model they want to see on the runway and in the magazines

A plus size model with stage presence and a bright smile to make you do a double take. Luckily for you, I'm based in Lyon, also working in Paris and available internationally once signed to a mother agency (looking for representation).

Diversity in size and skin tone should be a norm by now but seeing how the industry is doing the moonwalk on their innovation... WE'VE GOT SOME WORK TO DO.
