“A life well lived” is said by everyone who knew my father n law, Davant Latham Sr .. aka D1.

We lost a true Man’s man , the finest of southern gentleman, and an avid outdoorsmen .

Known as Chief to close friends and family, he was the patriarch of our clan we affectionately call The Chiefahunkas in his honor .

We will miss everything about you .. your stories, your faithfulness and your unconditional support for all of us ❤️🙏 by @shannonclatham

What a day ! Street Beast winning the Juvenile Mile at Ky Downs for Midway Racing ( Davant Latham) Trainer: @ben.colebrook.1 @jockeyluanmachado by @shannonclatham

One year ago today, you kept your promise to Mom. “If you ever leave me, I’m going with you “.

Losing both of you 3 weeks apart was unimaginable to the 4 of us . The grief on some days has been overwhelming . Not being able to speak with you has been the hardest .

We miss your wisdom and bigger than life personality . The man with the “ Big Hat “. Thank you for teaching us to think out of the box and encouraging us always .

My love for old houses, fast cars, open spaces , fine dining , sweet tea and a good greasy diner are all from him.
Love you Dad… what a ride ❤️ by @shannonclatham
