Here a few powerful truths that you can take into your week and use as reminders to overcome your anxiety:

1. “Fear must be replaced with faith. I must never trust my issues more than I trust God.”

2. “We cannot answer thoughts with thoughts. Thoughts can only be overcome with words; GOD’S WORDS.”

3. “Thoughts are seeds. Whether good or bad they will produce fruit in our lives.”

4. “Prayer will bring you to a place of surpassing peace.”

Reflection: A Sacred Calling

I never even knew the first picture existed until I was in ministry. God sees further than we do.

The calling is sacred. We must never forget that. Ministry is not a platform for personal ambition, a pursuit of recognition, or an opportunity to build our own kingdoms. It is a holy assignment entrusted to us by God.

We must never become so familiar with sacred things that we lose our reverence for the One who called us. The pulpit is sacred. The people are precious. The responsibility is weighty. The One who called us is holy.

We are not owners of the calling; we are stewards of it.May we never allow applause to replace anointing, ambition to overshadow obedience, or success to become more important than faithfulness.

The calling demands humility, integrity, sacrifice, prayer, and a continual surrender to the Lord.
Paul reminds us: “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.” 2 Corinthians 4:1 NKJV

May we never become casual with what God has called holy. The calling is sacred. The responsibility is great. The privilege of serving God and His people should never be taken lightly. by @shanonteaton

As I pray for you tonight, I am reminded that there are times in our lives when we must simply FAST AND PRAY! There are seasons when another conversation is not enough, another strategy will not suffice, and human wisdom cannot provide the answers we desperately need. Sometimes we must turn down the noise of the world, humble ourselves before God, and seek His face with renewed desperation and devotion.

Fasting and prayer are not about changing God’s mind but about allowing God to transform our hearts, align our desires with His will, and deepen our dependence upon Him.

Jesus said, “But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face.” Matthew 6:17 NKJV

Notice that Jesus said WHEN you fast, not IF you fast. Tonight, I am praying that God will give us the discernment to recognize when it is time to stop striving and start seeking, when it is time to be silent before Him, and when it is time to set aside our appetites to pursue His presence.

May the Lord renew our spiritual hunger, strengthen our prayer lives, purify our motives, and give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying. Some seasons require more than our attention. They require our consecration. May we never become so busy working for God that we neglect spending time with God. by @shanonteaton

As I pray for you this morning, I’m reminded that prayer and perseverance belong together. Jesus teaches us that when answers seem delayed, circumstances remain unchanged, and the journey becomes difficult, we are not to lose heart, we are to keep praying.

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”
Luke 18:1 NIV

Sometimes the greatest test of faith is continuing to pray when nothing appears to be happening. Just because God seems does not mean God is absent, and delay does not mean God has denied you.

Friends determine this day to pray again. Believe again. Trust again. Don’t allow disappointment, weariness, or what you see to silence what you’ve been praying.

My prayer for you today is that God renews your strength, strengthens your faith, and gives you grace to remain persistent in prayer. May you refuse to lose heart while you wait on Him.

Happy Birthday to the greatest father on the planet, the one and only Bishop Thomas Eaton Jr.!

I am incredibly grateful for the gift of a father who has been a living example of faith, hope, love, integrity, and courage. Your life, leadership, consistency, and commitment to God have left an imprint on me that words could never fully express.

Today, I honor you, celebrate you, and thank God for you. I’m trusting the Lord to grant you continued years, renewed strength, good health, and continued favor as you keep walking faithfully in His purpose.

It would be hard for any one to know the depth of defeat and hurt I was experiencing 4 years ago. I’m grateful for this moment. I revisit it often as a reminder. Grateful for Bishop @bishopmclaughlin for listening to the Lord 4 years ago and speaking life.

As I pray for you this morning, I’m reminded of these words:

“Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.”
Psalm 66:20 NLT

There are seasons when it may feel like heaven is silent, but silence does not mean God is absent. The Psalmist reminds us that God hears us, and His unfailing love has not been withdrawn from us.

This morning, I pray that you will have renewed confidence to keep praying. May God strengthen your faith while you wait, give you peace when you don’t understand, and remind you that every prayer whispered through tears, prayed in uncertainty, or offered in faith has been heard. May you walk through this day assured of this truth: God hears you. God loves you. God has not forgotten you.

Father, thank You for hearing our prayers. Thank You that Your love toward us never fails. Help us to trust You when we can see Your hand and when we cannot. Give us grace for today and faith for what lies ahead. by @shanonteaton
