I can’t believe this and I don’t think I ever will.

There’s a small drop of tears falling from my eyes as I write this, because somehow saying “Messi has retired” feels impossible.

How do you say goodbye to someone who was never just a footballer?

I grew up watching you. I watched you on the good days, the bad days, the victories, the heartbreaks, and all those nights when football gave me a reason to smile. Without even knowing me, you became a small part of my life.

And now, suddenly, I’m supposed to accept that I’ll never get to watch you play like this again.

I would give anything to see you one more time… just one more game. One last magical touch. One last run. One last goal. One last time wearing that beautiful Argentina jersey.

Maybe that’s what hurts the most. We always knew this day would come, but somehow, my heart was never ready for it.

Thank you, Leo.

Thank you for the childhood memories.
Thank you for the nights I’ll never forget.
Thank you for making me believe that the impossible was possible.
Thank you for making football feel like something more than a game.

One day, I’ll stop crying about this. But I know I’ll never stop missing you.

I can’t believe this. I won’t believe this.
I just wish I could watch you play one more time.

Love you forever, Leo Messi. ❤️🐐
Forever my number 10. Forever my favourite. 🇦🇷💙🤍
