I never dreamed I would run a marathon (truly) and running 6 World Major Marathons and becoming a 6 Star finisher was unfathomable! But I did it!!How to put this 6 Star journey into words? This journey has taught me to dream big, to believe in the impossible, and to put in the work! My journey started in 2019 when I first ran the Boston Marathon but it wasn’t until Boston 2022 the thought of chasing this goal took hold.The Abbott World Majors, are a series of six of the largest and most renowned marathons in the world - Tokyo Marathon, B.A.A. Boston Marathon, TCS London Marathon, BMW Berlin Marathon, Bank of America Chicago Marathon and TCS New York City Marathon. I can’t pick a favorite (I’ve tried) so a few favorites about each:Boston: the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s most prestigious road racing events. Iconic, historic, and steeped in tradition. An honor to run this course surrounded by world class athletes!Chicago: Starts and finishes at Grant Park. Easiest course to access.New York: The crowds, the cheering…deafening and epic! The start…up and over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge with Sinatra’s “New York, New York” blaring! The views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline…then a run through all 5 Boroughs of NYC ending in Central Park…incredible!London: how can you beat a finish that runs down the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace? I studied for 6 months in London so this was like coming home and running streets I adore lined with landmarks galore.Berlin: a steady, flat course with a super fun party like start in the Tiergarten (park) ending with a triumphal run through the Brandenburg Gate toward the infamous Victory Column. A fantastic end to 42 KM.Tokyo: the most polite, organized, and kind marathon—-spectators, volunteers, runners! Cleanest major by far! I felt like a true hero receiving my 6th star medal here…a corridor of respectful bows, waves, and quiet cheering. Unforgettable.I have so much gratitude for this 6th star journey…thank you for sharing it with me! Life is a marathon…we need each other and you always show up for me in the most special, unforgettable ways! Thank you! by @shanwrigley

Holding on tight to all the moments and memories! Spending time in London and Paris with our favorite Canadians was a dream. We conquered a ton, survived the great Paris heatwave of 2026, and left with grateful hearts to adventure in such fun and vibrant cities.🇬🇧❤️🇫🇷Time together really makes life so beautiful….this is the part of life I love the most! by @shanwrigley

Marathon weekend in Boston is truly a moment…it’s so much bigger than the race itself…it’s all the big feelings, it’s overwhelming gratitude, it’s electric energy, it’s anticipation and relief, it’s the reminder of the sweetest family memories, it’s beautiful connections, it’s iconic and historic, it’s story after story of journeys to a start line, it’s glimpses of sheer human goodness, its running in the footsteps of legends and heroes, its recognized (and unrecognized) dreams, it’s celebratory and really fun, it’s sitting in awe that you are even there, it’s a big personality that shines, and it really is quite magic! The tag line of the Boston Marathon is “meet the moment” and I think it’s safe to say that was accomplished in a big way this weekend…every moment felt like a “perfect day” and nothing got in the way of this one…not even the weather!I will forever be in awe and gratitude for all the beautiful moments and connections running has brought into my life. Boston Marathon pick-up! When I hold this bib in my hand it really feels like the best kind of dream come true! One thing (among many) the marathon has taught me is to never stop believing and to never stop dreaming..that’s when the magic happens! The energy and excitement of Marathon weekend in Boston is so special and I am feeling so grateful for the chance to run the 130th Boston Marathon on Monday! The hardest part was the journey to get here…now we run with joy and so much gratitude!Thank you for always sharing the journey, for the endless cheers, and for all the love you share through this marathon of life! 🫶 by @shanwrigley

The power of sisterhood is real! I met these most lovely girls (in every sense of the word) last September as they started their freshman year at BYU. They have shared love, service, power, faith, resilience, light, fortitude, kindness, and all things good. Today we gathered for the last time together…so bittersweet but these girls will make a mark in the world wherever they go! If you want to feel light, love, goodness, and hope just stay near this absolutely incredible group of BYU freshman! 6 months ago we received a call to mentor, serve, and love 120 incoming BYU freshman who literally have come from all over the world…it has been the most fun and fulfilling opportunity. These amazing individuals are everything good and have filled our hearts with so much joy…they reflect a sacred light that is changing the world in the most beautiful and hopeful ways! It’s been a semester filled with so much good and they conquered it!! Home!! Feeling so grateful this Chicago Marathon weekend even happened! Fought for that start! Fought for that finish! Sometimes the beauty/magic is found in the fight even when the outcome wasn’t the original plan! Marathon #18 reinforced in my heart the importance of listening, leaning, and realigning.
