WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 💕

Can I be honest? I used to be so ashamed to admit I struggle, but now I’m open with it. You know why? Because someone, somewhere is silently struggling too. I am still here today by the Grace of God. Nothing else! Mental health issues are just as real as someone who is struggling with ailments like diabetes or asthma. The only difference is, it’s not always visible but trust me the struggles are real. Many people don’t believe but if you look closely you will see. Many of us are HIGH FUNCTIONING but the signs are still there. I stand here as a believer in Christ who also advocates for Therapy and Proper medical care. Taking these measures doesn’t make you less of a Christian or less of a human being. God is the creator of all. Including creating the medical and clinical minds that work hard to address our health. I pray for guidance and I pray for those whose care I’m entrusted in. These things can and should coexist. Faith and works.
We don’t shame people for taking insulin or having an asthma pump. Why do we shame people for seeking proper mental health care? We are still worthy of getting help, we are still worthy of love. We still have a future. We are not faking it. We are not lazy. We are not choosing to not apply ourselves. I encourage you to speak up. Holding it in will make you sick. Literally! I see you and I believe you and I care.
If I can stay to fight another day, so can you! 🫶🏽
