About 15 years ago I made my first cake with @nursetashia In that instant, a seed was planted, and over the years that seed was watered by the women in my life who cooked every meal with love, care, and passion, telling tales about their lives through every spice, grain, and sprinkle. Life has a way of lifing and I quickly shelved my dream in pursuit of other things. But God is not limited to our small perspective, and as I became a mother He continued the work He started in me. In the midst of pain and hardship He reminded me of who I am, and what I’m here to do. This year, I said goodbye to one of my biggest supporters, my prayer warrior, my friend—my Buela. And I’m grateful that He didn’t see fit to leave me, because in the midst of even more pain, I found more clarity. I’m sad that she’s not physically here to see it, but I live everyday knowing that my life and my success is part of her answered prayers.It’s my honor to share that prayer with you, and announce that my dream, Baby’s Bakeshop LLC is here! The frontal lobe is closed, but the business is officially opened! Cheers to 25 years! 💋

Embracing the simplicity and warmth of every café experience is a form of meditation.

When you walk into this family founded black-owned café, my immediate thoughts were cozy. Through the home-style and minimalist earth tones, you will be transported to a coffee shop & bakery similar to one you'd find in a small town of a South American country. Baked chocolate chip cookies 🍪 and hot chocolate ☕will be inhaled as though your nostrils were hugging the aroma.

@sundaysoffcafe re-opening on December 27th, 8am- 5pm (follow their page for updates on hours) right in the home of Pelham Bay, BX.
