Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. A day that forever changed our country and so many lives.

Today, we remember those we lost, acknowledge the heroes, and keep their families and loved ones in our thoughts.

Let us also remember, 25 years later, the compassion and humanity that brought people together during such an unthinkable time.

When you’re creating content for your business, don’t just ask, “What should I post?”

Ask yourself:

Why am I posting this? How will my audience read it? “What do I want them to walk away with? And what do I want this post to do for my business, more importantly?

Not every post has to sell something, but your content should have a purpose.

Before you hit publish, make sure you know what that purpose is!

Are you still uploading photos straight from your phone or camera?

That default file name (IMG_4829.jpg) is a missed opportunity every single time!

Search engines can’t “see” your images; they read the file name and alt text to understand what’s in them. A generic name tells Google nothing. A descriptive one tells search engines exactly what your content is about and helps you show up in image search, too.

Before your next upload: Rename the file with relevant, descriptive keywords (you may want to do a quick search). Then add alt text that actually describes the image.
It takes an extra 30 seconds, and it’s one of the easiest SEO wins sitting right in front of you for your business!

A little behind the scenes when I’m not working from home!

I typically work from home, but sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what I need. Getting out of my usual routine helps me reset, think differently, and come back to ideas with a fresh perspective.
