This first-year project at @elisava.school consists of the design of a candle holder developed for the course Fundamentals of Product Design, under the supervision of Pablo Figuera.

The Escacena candle holder takes its name from my mother's family, a toponym originating in Huelva, historically linked to famous figures in flamenco and bullfighting. From this cultural root emerges an object that seeks a balance between tradition and contemporary abstraction.

Formally, the design references the Tartessian star, whose geometry is revealed when the piece is viewed from above. This silhouette is materialized through orthogonal volumes crafted from Carrara marble, lending sobriety, weight, and timelessness to the whole.

The concept stems from the word equanimity, understood as balance, calm, and clarity: values that are reflected both in the formal composition and in the visual and material experience of the object.

In my final degree project, I immersed myself in a typographic exploration where the Gestalt principle of proximity becomes the axis that articulates form, rhythm, and space.

I used Geometry Nodes in Blender to translate this perceptual principle into a three-dimensional language, creating compositions where typography ceases to be merely letters and transforms into structure, landscape, and movement.
