These four locations are top of mind if you’re a solo woman traveler who wants to take her very first trip outside of the United States :))) or maybe you’re in Europe and want to find a new country to explore!

Every city was
• safe
• had excellent public transport
• great food
• signs were in English and easy to navigate

The best season (shoulder season) is here ✨

I’ve seen all of these places in mid September to early October and they were far better than visiting mid summer when it’s unbearably hot and crowded

Top countries to visit are:

• Spain 🇪🇸 for hot temps, warm water and clear blue beaches perfect for relaxing

(Costa Brave featured)

• Portugal (Lagos) - rocky cliffside beaches, hiking along the coast, colder temps perfect for surfing 🏄‍♀️

• Albania - Waterfalls, stunning mountain hiking, ice cold water that feels like an ice bath

(Lumi Shales, Blue Eye Theth, Grunjas waterfall)

Shoulder season means less crowds, lower prices, and more privacy! 😍✨

Personally, I love traveling when I’m not shoulder to shoulder with humans and although you might get a few rainy days or windy weather, the trade off is 100% worth it IMO

The bioluminescence is baaaaaack in San Diego✨🩵

This nighttime coastal neon blue glow has been known to occur a couple times over the past decade

This time it’s in Mission Bay and it’s brighter than ever

There’s never been a better time like the present :,)

The older you get, the more you recognize that the right time doesn’t exist as much as you making the time for what matters

Solo travel is probably one of the most humbling and fast track to growth journeys that I can encourage you to do

You get the opportunity to find yourself, connect with strangers, new cultures, explore who you are without your environment and become a stranger in a foreign city or country

In many ways, it’s a full reset from all you know

And if what you know is feeling stagnat, it may be time to take that solo trip taken in Costa Brava, Spain by @shapeyourbliss

10/10 Bench spot (not that Lake Bled has any bad benches imo but this one has to be in my Top!)

Slovenia is such a dream and after spending 3 days circling this lake, I could probably tell you about every nook and cranny

The lighting changes drastically depending on time and side of the lake you’re on

This was taken at 5:50 pm on September 14 on a semi cloudy day on the west side of the lake

Underrated and 100% worth the hype of you adding it to your bucket list 🤩

All it took was a few social media videos to convince me to come and if you’re a fellow fan of nature, mountains, and the water kissing, you’ll want to add Slovenia to your next visit

Getting here is a simple 1hr 20 bus ride from the capital Ljubljana and is better IRL!

You feel like you’re living inside of a postcard 🥰

Albanias highest waterfall is indeed worth the mini trek it takes to get there!

Save this post for your next adventure ✨

Theth National Park is home to none other than Grunas waterfall which is a stunning nearly 30 meter cascade of sheer force into a crystal clear pool that you can swim in

The hike itself takes 45min to 1 hour and is classified as moderate.

My rec:
• go early (9am) to beat the crowds
• wear good shoes, lots of rocks/mini scrambles
• you can pair this hike with Blue Eye (same path)

This underrated city in Albania stole my heart and it will steals yours too!

Berat is a UNESCO World Heritage site that boasts one of the oldest inhabited castles in Europe 🏰 With over 2500 years of history, this charming old town has plenty to do

You can enjoy museums, thrifting, cooking classes, and various day trips adventures taking you to canyons and water rafting nearby

Do NOT skip it in your next Albania trip 🇦🇱

How is it that no matter how old you get, your mom always knows what to say? 🥺

You can be halfway across the world but the minute you get on a phone call, your body relaxes because your piece of home is with you 🤍

My mom and I are like this 👯‍♀️, she’s basically my rock and the first person I call when anything happens

If you know anything about Mexican moms, they are the kindest, most loving, beautiful souls to ever exist on this planet and my mom is no exception

She’s the first person to like my stories 🥰 and as a first gen kid, half the reason I capture as many photos and videos I can is so I can show everybody back home just how amazingly cool and beautiful the world is!!! ☺️

Though they can’t come with me on these adventures (yet - we are manifesting), I hope they get a tiny glimpse of it through the lens 📸🤳
