Mother’s Day has always been emotional for me.

I never got the chance to meet my mother or experience a mother’s love firsthand. That’s a feeling I’ve carried my entire life.

Creating Being Andrew: My Mom Is My Angel was deeply personal for me because I know there are kids out there who carry that same feeling too. Kids who ask questions. Kids who wonder. Kids who still want to feel connected to someone they miss.

This book is for them.

It’s for the children being raised by grandparents. The kids who lost a parent too early. The families doing their best to keep love alive even after loss.

I wanted to create something gentle, honest, and comforting. A reminder that love never truly goes away.

To everyone celebrating Mother’s Day in a different kind of way today, I see you.
