A new school, a new beginning, and renewed hope for our children. 📚💛

We, the Beacon Gaza team, are proud to celebrate the opening of our new school in Al-Maghazi Camp. We welcomed the children with stationery and school supplies, helping them begin this journey with smiles and the tools to learn.

Our heartfelt thanks to our partners, the Gazan-Led Community Support Fund and SHARE by S.U.N., and to everyone who contributed to making this dream a reality. Your generosity has helped create a place for children to learn, grow, and dream.

Together, we are opening doors to education and keeping hope alive. 🕊️

A dream has become reality. 🌟

Today, the Beacon Gaza proudly completed the construction of a permanent educational tent in Al-Maghazi Camp, creating a safe space where children can learn, grow, and hold onto hope despite the challenges around them.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our supporters and partners. We extend our deepest gratitude to @share.by.sun, @gazanledcsf, @beacongaza, and every donor who contributed to making this educational tent a reality. Your kindness has opened the door to education for dozens of children.

But our journey is not over.

Now, we need your support to provide:
📚 School supplies and stationery for the children
🍽️ Daily meals and nutritional support for students
👩‍🏫 Assistance and resources for our dedicated teachers
🎒 Essential educational materials to help every child succeed

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue building a brighter future for Gaza's children. Together, we can ensure that this school is not only a place to learn, but a place where hope, dignity, and opportunity can thrive.

Thank you to everyone who stood with us and helped build this permanent educational tent. Let us continue this mission together and give these children the support they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project and stood with us. Your generosity has made it possible to begin building this school tent, giving children hope and a place to learn.

But our mission is not over yet. There is still work to be done, and we need your continued support to complete this project. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to providing a safe and dignified learning environment for these children.

Thank you for believing in this cause. Together, we can finish what we started and give these children the future they deserve. by @share.by.sun

| Economy for Good

Yesterday in a village, I met these children on the road. When I asked where they were going, their answer was simple and troubling. If nothing changes, this path may lead them to kayayo.

These are not children without strength or dignity. They are children carrying responsibility far too early. What they lack is opportunity, guidance, and protection at the right time.

Early support can change their direction. Access to school, skills training, food security, and basic care can keep them in their communities and away from the streets. Prevention costs far less than rescue, and it preserves childhood before it is lost.

Your support can interrupt this cycle now. Not later, not after damage is done, but at this moment, when change is still possible. When we act early, we do not just help a child survive. We help a child choose a different future. @share.by.sun by @share.by.sun

🎥✨ Watch and Reflect.

In Accra, women and girls carry more than goods. They carry the cost of exploitation and inequality every day.

KAYAYO - The Living Shopping Baskets tells the powerful, often unseen stories of young women who migrate to the city to survive. Forced into the work as head porters, they carry heavy loads and fragile dreams.

This documentary, released in 2016 invites us to look closer: at dignity under pressure, resilience in motion and why long-term solutions, like education and female economic empowerment matter more than ever. Nearly a decade later, its message has only grown more urgent.

Watch this enlightening, powerful short film by director Mari Bakke Riise, produced by Integral Film, Oslo:

Many women and girls leave their homes to carry loads in the markets, not because they want that life, but because they see no other option. Kayayo work offers quick cash, but it takes away safety, health, and the chance to learn a skill that can last a lifetime.
When a girl learns a sustainable trade, she gains more than income. She gains dignity, stability, and the confidence to plan her future. Skills such as tailoring, farming, food processing, or basic crafts allow her to earn a living without risking her body or her life on the streets.
Support for skills training does not only change one person. It reduces rural poverty, keeps families together, and builds communities that can stand on their own. With the right tools and guidance, these young women can choose work that respects them and supports them for years to come.
This is how we move from survival to self-reliance. This is how we replace kayayo with lasting opportunity. @share.by.sun farm project is making an impact on young people's lives in Northern Ghana 🇬🇭 Tamale.
Say no to Kayayo

„They tried to bury us in violence. They didn’t know we were seeds.” Turning pain into power!

In 2025, together with our partner @sparsi2016 we @share.by.sun supported 261 survivors of terror related violence and forced displacement in Northeast Nigeria.

📍 Chibok | Gwoza | Damboa | Askira | Uba

What changed? 🌱🌟

✨ Fear turned into voice
✨ Anger into leadership
✨ Isolation into community
✨ Trauma into purpose.

Our impact in numbers: 🦋

✨ 46% less PTSD symptoms
✨ 56% less anxiety
✨ 50% less depression
✨ 78% back to work & livelihoods
✨ 88% stronger family relationships.

Young girls and women made up the majority of participants, not only healing themselves but rebuilding families and communities. This is what trauma healing makes possible. This is how peace begins. Not at the negotiation table, but within the human nervous system.

IDPs GROWING THEIR OWN FUTURE 🌱

In Maiduguri, Nigeria, IDPs are turning their access to interest-free microloans into something of their own. For many years, this region stood at the epicentre of Boko Harams terror, leaving families displaced, livelihoods destroyed and deep wounds across the whole region.

With the operative support of our partner organization @sparsi2016 women are able to rent farmland, plant crops such as maize, sesame, beans and groundnuts aiming to build an independent source of income.

Every recipient repays only the amount they received, without interest. The returned funds can support and be invested in the next person, allowing one seed investment creating new opportunities again and again.

This is what we believe in. Not dependency, but ownership. Not short-term aid, but lasting opportunity. Not charity, but the chance to build a future through one’s own strength. We are convinced.. Impact begins when people are trusted with means to move forward.
