THE POLITICIAN’S WIFE by Pir8fancier 🩷

Happy end of summer! I am so ready to usher in spooky season with gusto, but I feel like it’s better if I post this bind before autumn, since it’s got such a soft and summery feel to it. This is probably one of my favorite fanfics of all time— it makes me laugh and cry in equal measure. This insanely gorgeous typeset is from @floralbearies 🩷 Jess it’s beyond amazing!! The textblock has been sitting in my wip pile for at least a year oops 😆

HAPPY BTS 2026 REVEALS DAY! 🎻

Thanks and lots of love to the mods who work so hard on the @hp_btsfest — this is my third year writing! This time I wrote my first sirmione, I highly recommend branching out and trying new things because I really enjoyed writing this first chapter! Not sure about an update schedule as I’m currently moving, but hopefully this is finished by the end of October at the latest! Big smooches to my ride or die @coldbrewcalico for, as always, cheering me on and fixing my mistakes💋

ALSO: this piece is a gift to my lovely, wonderful friend @kerosenehoney 🖤🥀 who makes fandom and friendship have meaning. To know her is to love her! Happy early birthday my dear 💋

Happy Sunday! ☀️ fun process video for sewing endbands following @foryourthoughtsbindery tutorial (with my own little modifications) 🫶🏻🥰

- I use mull and wrap it around pre-manufactured endbands
- straight needles instead of curved
- I also use a pair of pliers to reduce strain on my wrist (shout-out to other former orchestra kids with permanent carpal tunnel) 🎻

Got some amazing binds I’ll hopefully be able to post soon! by @shareisbinding

An Ever-Fixed Mark 💜🍃 by ninepiecesofcrait

Stills for my #clamjamexchange26 bind! This went to @aurelian_library and thank you @sjs_binding for hosting is fun exchange!

I had the idea of making an illusion clamshell, so I purchased a flexible tree wrap material and cut it down to size after making the initial clamshell box. I did not add a middle spine piece in the box because it would have ruined the illusion effect. I adhered the faux tree material using a mix of caulk and industrial grade adhesive, PVA glue did not work on this sucker haha. I put a heavy weight on top and let it cure overnight. Then, using a hot glue gun, I added different types of faux moss in all the hinges and around the border.
I also did some silver HTV detailing because the sides felt boring 😂 definitely not necessary but I was already out of control by this point in the process.
The bind is a wrap cover featuring the bluebells in the fic and comes with a clear dust jacket. The endbands are also faux moss!

Overall I am happy with the result and really love it when a complex idea can come together like this!! I hope you like it Lauren!! 🫶🏻

I HAVE TO BE HONEST: I made a reel purely so I could use this song by @oliviarodrigo 😂 very obsessed with the new album.
I’m sure my binding pals already know how to use their minc, but you never know! Workshopping with friends never hurts 🫶🏻 lmk if you have any questions! by @shareisbinding

NIGHTMARE PART 2: THE TYPESET

I know it’s fanfic, but I really do love to combine my passions. I was deeply intrigued by the concept of using Edvard Munch’s art for this story. He was a deeply troubled artist, with a turbulent childhood to say the least, followed by a lifetime battling his inner demons. It was common back then to believe insanity ran in families (yay for modern medicine and accurate diagnoses today) which weighed heavily on him. He did not consider himself mentally sound enough for marriage or fatherhood, and honestly I respect the hell out of that. His art is bold, striking, often disturbing.
“Munch often uses shadows and rings of color around his figures to emphasize an aura of fear, menace, anxiety, or sexual intensity. These paintings have been interpreted as reflections of the artist’s sexual anxieties, though it could also be argued that they represent his turbulent relationship with love itself and his general pessimism regarding human existence” (Wikipedia).
You can see why I thought this was perfect for the bind, yes? As such, I used approx. 32 of his works for the typeset. I am very proud of it and hope you like it too! by @shareisbinding

HAPPY #clamjamexchange26 hosted by the wonderful @sjs_binding 🍃My clamshell went to @aurelian_library 🤎
For the bind I went with An Ever-Fixed Mark by the indomitable Ninepiecesofcrait. I adore this fic!! I had the crazy idea of making an illusion clamshell, where you don’t know it’s a box at first! I wanted it to feel like it belongs in the bluebell forest scene. Making this was so fun!! Side note: anyone need a large amount of faux moss?? ‘Cause I know a gal 😂 I used faux treebark with flexible backing, faux moss, brown bookcloth, and peel and stick wallpaper to line the inside.
I hope you like it Lauren!! Still pictures to come!

(P.s. ignore the tiny hand in the reel. I didn’t see that until way later haha)
