Reading that Africa just launched our own Earth Observation Instrument to help monitor our extremely volatile weather and lands ?!! Seriously a highlight of my week.

It made me so happy to read this heart electrifying headline because this type of technology and information can really do so much to help us prepare on the ground and put in place more active solutions! I thought I’d share it and all the excitement I bear.

Hoping to do deeper dives, bring the golden nuggets from the latest reports and really inform myself at least once a month.

Español Abajo 𖥸 This photo was taken just before sunrise, moments before I was scheduled to shoot a morning yoga class along the still edges of Lake Atitlán.

Camera in hand, I watched early risers paddle quietly across the water, and board the local ferries, bags packed, on their way to work.

In the middle of the lake -balance- graciously revealed itself.

A slow rise, pause and headstand.

A rare moment where I watched dedication, pure strength and fearless presence come together, effortlessly.

It is these in-between moments that create context, set the tone and hold 1000 words that can't be squeezed into 5 SEO keywords.

Esta foto fue tomada justo antes del amanecer, minutos antes de que empezara a fotografiar una clase de yoga matutina a orillas tranquilas del Lago Atitlán.

Con la cámara en mano, observé a quienes madrugan: personas remando en silencio sobre el agua, subiendo a las lanchas locales con sus bolsos listos, camino al trabajo.

En medio del lago, el equilibrio se mostró con gracia.

Morning photoshoot for a Yoga Retreat by @transcendentyogacollective set in the open Diamond Dojo of Villa Sumaya.

With an immaculate backdrop of Volcano San Pedro, Volcano Atitlan and the rhythm of light waves coming in, it’s hard to call this work when it is everything I am made of.

No planned poses. I was working with the available light and constant movement to create imagery that reflects the real pace and intention of the practice set by @autumninmotion
